Playing Smite Devouring Orb now. Wand and Bastion. You can get so much cast speed between a wand and gloves, that it makes the build feel great. Health void leech with Smite and Bastion lets you face tank most bosses up to 300 corruption. Would recommend.
@@khmergodhobbies I use the Numlock trick. Assign DO keybind to a Numpad number. Have Caps Lock on. Press and keep the key down and switch off Caps Lock. And now it will auto cast on CD.
Have you thought about using Abyssal Echoes instead of crit build devouring? I'm feeling that it's pretty solid, but I'm in the transition to taking 90 vit. I'm using Singularity and Sigil's of hope/Volatile Reversal for 60% increased Dot Damage+30% hit damage, only thing that could improve the build a bit more is Cast Speed for a smoothing experience
Like I said, I had 3 shots to get T6 cast speed on Omnividence and I failed :(. Prior to the MP patch I was using Abyssal Echoes! Great Armor Shred utility. Sounds like you are going a slightly more hybrid route. It really sounds solid! And with gear comes flexibility. You are on the right path.
I was planning on 100% Abyssal Echoes... IF I had managed a T6 cast speed Omnividence. I had 3 attempts so far, unlucky. Yeah man, I have the same alternative path in mind but like you said... Cast Speed makes it feel great. And I wanted it.
Smiter used to be badass because it was tanky and could just facetank content. Atm I would say VK needs less to get going, and can be crit/non crit, DoT can work, direct damage works. Smiter still needs some well rolled idols. The good news is, whatever you pick you will drop a ton of Sentinel loot so the option you don't pick can be put together rather quickly.

Hi Eric. If my keyboard does not have a numberpad, is there no way to autocast?
I think you can do it with software. AutoHotKey is a macro type software that can emulate a keypad. This should work.
is it possible to make devouring orb autocast itself while we do things like channel ?
No. :( It is not. It will break channeling immediately.

Yup. No other way around this. Battle Standard is not even close, and kind of a long CD.
