Porsche Turbos, rS2, RS3 are always make you work to take them down, those cars are super consistent. The guy in the Dodge knows his car and how to launch it.
I'm a sucker for Porsches but when it comes to Drag Strips, a Muscle Car will always look better. From the Porsche's POV it looks so much at home. It's like seeing a lion in the wild. Whether it's leading or trailing, the view of the Demon is sooooo awesome.
@Wetwillybilly … believe it or not, no one red lit on any run. All clean runs. Very close to red lighting on last run with Porsche with an .013 light. You can tell a red light when the red bulb lights and a negative number appears on the timeslip by reaction time. Thanks for watching !!
The Porsche being all wheel drive and having engine modifications was the determining factor. A stock Porsche would have never stood a chance against a Demon. Hold on to your horses the Z06 is coming...
@ Andrew MacPherson Hi Andy, good to hear from you. If you recall, this was the rematch. We raced 3 times this day. We raced 4 times the first time - 2 Porsche / 2 Demon. On this day, we raced 3 times for the best of 3. Very close races - 2 wins for Porsche, 1 win for Demon. Was fun racing !! Thanks again and thanks for watching !!
It also proves that a stock 911 turbo S would not be able to keep up with a stock Dodge Demon. By far the most impressive car of the two was the Demon being heavier with rear wheel drive and also no engine tuning. It is simple to boost a Demon to 1000 hp by just changing supercharger pulleys.
@@Mandolin1944 can a Demon run with a 911 turbo on a non prepped surface stock vs stock? The answer is no and its been proven several times. For the 911 turbo to venture where the Dodge is strongest and defeat it with a mild tune, still underpowered, is engineering prowess at its best. The Dodge can't do the same.
We like both cars, but agree that the stock Demon (other than lightweight wheels and some weight reduction) was impressive to run with a tuned 991 Turbo S. If you look closely in the warehouse in this video you'll notice we have a Demon stashed away. Thanks for watching !!
@@WindyCity1992 that isn't what Porsche is about. They are designed to be sports cars (lightweight, lower output, and better handling). The demon uses brute force to push itself down a drag strip. It was purpose built by MOPAR to run straight down the track. I think the real question is can the demon go around the corners faster then a 911?
I don't even need to finish watching the video to guess who won. There is no getting past the advantage of rear wheel drive with engine over axle or even all wheel drive that the Porsche has. The Dodge will just spin and never put all that power to the ground.

@RealJ8 Thanks for the comment. What a lot of people don’t know is that there are two staging lights which illuminate as a result of the front tire entering two light beams during staging the car. As the lights on the tree come down, the movement of the car just before the light turns green is the sign of someone cutting a good light and not breaking the light beam before the light turns green. The .013 light is proof that there was no jump as is no red light. If it was a red light, the red light bulb would have lit and the reaction time number would have had a negative sign such as -.013. In short, there was no jump, just a very good light. Thanks for watching !!
