The fact that the front wheels only touched down during the shifts is terrifying. I would love to be behind the wheel of one just for the experience, but at the same time, I value my health and well being.
@ explain cause first I’ve heard of it and if there is I’m willing to bet it isn’t used in 95% of drag cars as they’re designed not to wheeling and if one does it’s because something is off or wrong with the suspension or weight distribution.
@@UnhingedCanadian Many, though certainly not all have ride height sensors and other things all tied into the ECU and TC which not only helps prevent a wheelie but can also help soften the landing if it does do one. Of course there are still many cars capable of a wheelie that have none of that and even some of the ones that do either don't have it setup right or even have it turned off to prevent it robbing power on a false reading.
@@wingracer1614 fair but those don’t help “set a wheelie down softer” they’re designed to stop a wheelie. If anything they actually would make it harder to set down softer as they cut power. If you aggressively pull a wheelie and then the car cuts power you slam down. That guy feathered the throttle on the way down and landed it like a champ.
@@UnhingedCanadian They can if setup and driven right. Assuming the driver stays in it, not only can the ecu pull power when the nose lifts, it can put power back in as the nose comes down. It's all in how you program it.
Definately lifted and chutes out early… it’s amazing watching the car continually lift off the ground as it’s accelerating and then go straight back down to the ground after passing the lights
Worst TH-cam channel for racing coverage. Middle of qualifying yesterday and they just fuckin cut it off. Haltech needs to get rid of Floracing because that shit is not cool. Hopefully I can find the rest of the weekend on a smaller TH-cam channel so I can watch it. Thumbs down FloRacing.
I agree, but to jump from where he was to what he is in now... Has got to be a pretty steep learning curve. That cars capabilities are way above everything else he has been in. Looked like he pulled the chutes early to me as well.
Damn the rotary stick shift was on the back wheels most of it what a ripper
These commentators are awesome!!! Clearly this is their passion
Fly high and fast Eagle. Hell yeah brother
5 second car class has come along way to quick. Stay safe out there. Most of the competitive vehicles are in the low 7's, that's nuts!
6.05 on its what 4th pass ever? Wow.
I think 5th.
Saw him do a run in the daylight too.
He threw the chutes at 1000 ft
He was slow to the 60 too. For first full 1000ft run he’s gotta be pretty happy. Anyone know why Leroy Q1 without a body by chance?
@@kevinfunk83i think cleet wants to run it without the body too, dont really see the point personally.
@ agree
That world record starlet pass was absolutely disgusting.

man I would not want to ride in that thing. it was barely touching the track all the way down. living on the edge!
Sketchy fast...... not sure I'd want to be in the other lane? Got 'er done though......
Can't wait to see PFI LETS GO!!!
Thanks for the video, GOOD STUFF!
It's gonna be a crazy weekend!
Thanks for streaming this event!
That IS300 spun out twice one day and wrecked the next…….. tough weekend
cursed
That wheelie and setting it down soft takes some serious driving skill
There is also a surprising amount of technology out to aid in coming down off a wheelie soft as well it's really neat the things you can do now

Cleetus at 3:40
W G A S!
Is it me or did he pull the chutes way early?
@@1320crusier 6.0X @215. Almost certainly. At the very least he let off early.

That left lane is breaking hearts
0:20 that’s the first time I’ve ever seen a Honda break loose like that. Wonder what caused it
Ludicrous Speeds!
Approching the 300 MPH mark.
Geezus !
??? The fastest trap speed I noticed was 260 and some change...gonna take an entirely different class to hit 300 or more...ever hear of top fuel???
That rotary stick car is the real talk here.
Hopefully these XFWD cars aren’t blowing up every other pass, and causing track cleanups every 2 minutes.💀
Too late lol. They took forever this morning
EL Versatil still crazy bro 🤘🏻🤘🏻

Shut it down and pulled chutes early. Lol.
@@RICARD01 Yep and a slow 60 foot too. They get it dialed, it's at least going 5.80s.
I didn’t realize motorcycles were allowed, that rotors was on two wheels nearly the whole pass lol

Watching todays live stream while also watching this recap. And a Camaro just flipped to close the track again.
Not to mention that they started almost half hour late
Did I get the camera off the car what did he mean by that
Hello Yeah Bother
Nice
I dont know how NHRA still has pro stock in the top series when there are 4 cylinder door slammers going faster.
Yeah but pro-stock are doing it NA, no boost, no nitrous. Those 4 bangers would be lucky to run 11s with no boost.
How many track preps due to oil downs today. Lucky if there were 2 runs in a row before the tractors were out 🙄
