I started laughing really hard when I heard that (after crying because I was resonating with something you said a few moments prior about me being royalty in a past life, and her being a peasant or the other way around), like "huh, the universe is playing some kind of cruel joke". She was my high school teacher. So age isn't the only gap we have. We had a legal and social boundary to keep up while I was still a high school student. I kept our relationship as professional as possible (for her sake). I kept my distance, even though it was near impossible. The magnetism towards her, the attraction was so intense. Our age gap is only 7 years, he's older, but the real separation that exists between us is the fact that he was my teacher and I was the student. I should mention that although he was my teacher we are both adults, and were both adults when we met. To complicate things more our sport is ballroom dance, so although in all our time (before our current separation) we were never traditionally intimate, building a dance partnership with someone is a very intimate expirance as you literally learn eachothers bodies so that you can move together, which moving together was never really that hard for us. I liked what you said about twins being eachothers perfect teachers because he was my perfect teacher, and although he wouldn't admit it I taught him too. Eventually we started teaching together when new students would come to our dance parties, even though I was not a paid teacher. We were eachothers perfect partners, probably because it was so easy for us to connect, it was easy for us to synchronize small movements. Whenever he would talk about connection (the physical connection between dance partners) while teaching class he would automatically reach for me to demonstrate; our best carnival trick during class became connecting to eachother only at our chests and me still being able to perfectly follow where he led me, a trick we could not do with other people. People would meet us and assume we were dating, before they knew the no dating rule, because of our body language and because our dynamic became like that of a happily bickering old married couple; people even started referring to us as the male and female versions of eachother. Obviously this was all frowned upon by management, and now it occurs to me that one of our barriers in getting close to eachother was actually that we were too close in age. Let me give an example, he had a similar platonic relationship with another female student who was much older than him, so when they became close friends no one "worried" that it could be more than platonic, but as we grew closer it was frowned upon by the boss because "we were too close to eachothers age it could be more than platonic", which of course deep down it was but neither of us could ever say that aloud to the other, that was the true agony of our relationship, the inability to tell eachother our feeling aloud, because if we did we risked being ripped apart by the contract we were both bound to. We found other ways to say it of course, aloud, thru actions and body language, I know now that it was just my ego that needed to hear the words to be sure, no matter how many times he showed me, the ego brings the doubt and the pain. I'm grateful to have found your channel a little over a year into our separation, I plan to work hard on myself so when we are allowed to contact eachother again I'm ready.

I started laughing really hard when I heard that (after crying because I was resonating with something you said a few moments prior about me being royalty in a past life, and her being a peasant or the other way around), like "huh, the universe is playing some kind of cruel joke". She was my high school teacher. So age isn't the only gap we have. We had a legal and social boundary to keep up while I was still a high school student. I kept our relationship as professional as possible (for her sake). I kept my distance, even though it was near impossible. The magnetism towards her, the attraction was so intense. Our age gap is only 7 years, he's older, but the real separation that exists between us is the fact that he was my teacher and I was the student. I should mention that although he was my teacher we are both adults, and were both adults when we met. To complicate things more our sport is ballroom dance, so although in all our time (before our current separation) we were never traditionally intimate, building a dance partnership with someone is a very intimate expirance as you literally learn eachothers bodies so that you can move together, which moving together was never really that hard for us. I liked what you said about twins being eachothers perfect teachers because he was my perfect teacher, and although he wouldn't admit it I taught him too. People would meet us and assume we were dating, before they knew the no dating rule, because of our body language and because our dynamic became like that of a happily bickering old married couple; people even started referring to us as the male and female versions of eachother. Obviously this was all frowned upon by management, and now it occurs to me that one of our barriers in getting close to eachother was actually that we were too close in age. Let me give an example, he had a similar platonic relationship with another female student who was much older than him, so when they became close friends no one "worried" that it could be more than platonic, but as we grew closer it was frowned upon by the boss because "we were too close to eachothers age it could be more than platonic", which of course deep down it was but neither of us could ever say that aloud to the other, that was the true agony of our relationship, the inability to tell eachother our feeling aloud, because if we did we risked being ripped apart by the contract we were both bound to. We found other ways to say it of course, aloud, thru actions and body language, I know now that it was just my ego that needed to hear the words to be sure, no matter how many times he showed me, the ego brings the doubt and the pain.
