    Happy to see another showcase of this pack, I've had my eye on this one for a while. Please do an update when/if you get the Prairie Belt to go with it. :)

      Thanks for the comment. This pack is so comfortable, I'm not sure I even need the belt now. But if I get it, I'll do an update alright.

      @@The_gear_review_channel 👍 I have heard that the belt is definitely not necessary. The main appeal for me is being able to keep the essentials easily accessible and being able to remove the pack without having to take off the belt so I can downsize when I get to camp.

    Small note -- you're lumbar support panel is backwards. The webbing and aluminum should be facing the inside of the pack.

    I’ve have been eyeing this pack for a couple years. This review might have sealed the deal.

      I still use it. Used it today. It would definitely be my go to. Insane amount of comfort. For a day pack or warm weather overnight, it’s fine.

    Great gear and glad you like the HPG stuff too. I have used an Umlindi V1 since they were first released. (Had a Tarahumara and Kitbag since 2012). I have yet to have a better one. Tried the Connor and the Junction...went back to the Umlindi each time. I sold off my Connor but kept the Junction as I bought the silnylon version and can utilize it as a 'spare'. New sub today!

    Did you ever get the belt?
    In my preliminary setup which I'm still dialing it in, I got a low profile water bladder pack that has MOLLE on the front, so when I installed it to the backpack I didn't lose any of the MOLLE real estate. I'll be using one of the water bottle pockets for a compact foldable chair and haven't decided what I'll do with the other one. Maybe either a tent or a pad. I think with those wings it seems inconvenient to have to unstrap to get to my water. I have yet to filed test it yet so I'd love to hear other people's configurations with this pack.

      Having to unstrap to get to water bottles is a curse but Core performance have a water bladder that looks interesting for use in this pack. I don't have the belt yet unfortunately. Can't ever find it in Europe in the colour I want.

      @@The_gear_review_channel As for the water bladder, I went with the Source Razor. Fits in very nicely

      You won't regret buying a HPG backpack. Incredibly well built. Check out their Facebook group if you can. Loads of great people post on it and share ideas about gear. The Crud Sweden Gjora gloves are a must my man. They age so well and feel so good. Thanks for the comment and support and enjoy the evening 👊🏼⚒️

    What stove kit was that you first put in the bag

    • @The_gear_review_channel
      @The_gear_review_channel  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That was an Adventure Trek 900 from Snow Peak. Titanium, made in Japan. The stove I was using back then was the Soto Windmaster, incredible stove when windy and cold.

    Would this work?...sleeping bag on bottom, tarp on one wing. air mattress on the other....then in the middle a stuff sack. with extra cloths,,,...enough strap length for that?
    thank you very much for your videos

    • @The_gear_review_channel
      @The_gear_review_channel  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The straps on the bottom cover my winter weight reindeer hide so depending on the sleeping bag volume that shouldn't be an issue.
      For me it's the perfect edc pack which can be extended as an overnight system.
      @HillPeopleGear have a great pack with more volume called the Umlindi v2 which has straps on bottom, back and top. That for me would be a dedicated overnight pack or luxury day pack that can easily be extended due to the extra volume and strap systems for a weekend trip.

      @@The_gear_review_channel "it's the perfect edc pack which can be extended as an overnight system." This is exactly what I bought it for and I believe it to be the case. Though I haven't taken it out over night yet, as I'm dialing it in it does seem to be able to hold everything I would need for a night or two.

    • @The_gear_review_channel
      @The_gear_review_channel  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@McBicbic it sure can be used for an overnight. For a winter overnight you would have to use the bottom and back straps.
