    Awesome video. It looks like the parts link in your description has the quick connects listed twice. I also didn't see a link for the 1/2in female to 1/2 female that it looks like you are using. Thanks for the info! Can't wait to put mine together next week when everything comes in.

      @@dieselxdan They're a type of sprinkler that allow you to water efficiently both in the amount you put down as well as the amount you use. MP stands for Matched Precipitation, but they are the funky looking nozzles that have multi trajectory streams of water. As I mentioned earlier, they're great for low water pressure, and are perfect if you are doing an above ground DIY system since they're easily adjustable.

    What benefits are there to using these vs a impact sprinkler that is set to run 360*? I set up 2 on 1 spigot and seemed to get decent coverage. Contemplating in its worth investing in this style. Everyone seems to use them.

    • @RootedLawnCo
      @RootedLawnCo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Precision, build, saves money in watering with some heads and cheaper to buy a head than impacts.
      You have more ability to adjust a fine mist or 25’+ stream with a nice rain curtain. The impacts tend to get “stuck” often (at least the few I have used) I personally like these better than impacts after I tried them. All my opinion. Hope that answered your question.

    I would love to have an underground irigation system installed but they are so expensive, plus i hear that it's a good idea to have a separate irigation water meter installed which i found out cost $5000 to have it put in by the city. did you go with a separate water meter for your front yard sprinkler system? So I have an adapter to get you from the irrigation head, to the lawn spike. If you want it higher, do what I did… EXCEPT where I use a short piece of pipe, you can use a longer piece. Cut it to your desirable length. Does this help? But you’ll love this set up!

    • @ptlfarm3929
      @ptlfarm3929 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RootedLawnCo So if I'm understanding you correctly, the little section of pipe is just to make the spinkler head higher? So if I don't care I can just use the adapter and go straight from spike to head? And, I know this is a dumb question, but if I want to cut a length of pipe to use, what pipe am I looking for? haha, sorry for the dumb q on a year old video, but I live in middle of nowhere and I'm about to put in a order and buy (hopefully) everything I need all at once, and doing this on a fairly big scale.
