I valeted my car at the Indy Airport, and when I returned a week later, I didn't do a walk around, unfortunately I had a nice little dent at the seam on the passenger side fender noticed the next morning. My fault, you learn from your mistakes. I gave a great tip to boot.
I work as a valet, and we take VERY good care of the cars, I cant speak for all companies....BUT tip will for sure guarantee you a good service, especially at a well known restaurant. ALWAYS ALWAYS tip your valet even if its $1 and ALWAYS ALWAYS have a smile, be nice to them and follow the rules they have. We dont get paid enough to depend on a check, even a 5 goes a long way. We take care of you even if you dont tip, but when your rude and dont tip from the start, dont expect to get your car parked close, or expect to get your car brought up quick. There are many valets that dont respect property so always look for reviews on the place your going to, if you dont want to tip then dont valet simple as that, you get what you give.

Video walk around the car before parking. 3. Video odometer at valet stand, passengers can be a help here to do the videos. 4. If you don't have money to tip, tell them that you need to get money when leaving as you only carry credit cards. Tip them on exit after a walk around first. 5. Used vehicle's Valet key. Don't have one?...Remove all keys but the ignition key. Do this before going to any parking lot, repair shop, etc. 6. Snap a photo of trip milage, gas gage and odometer. Photo interior too. Lay a human hair over spots that are tempting...you'll be able to see if someone popped the glove box and console.
This is why I never Valet and I live in LA. Rather park it myself a few blocks away from my destination and pay a meter than put my car in the hands of strangers.

Just get a custom tuned installed with valet mode and when ever you have to valet the car put it in valet mode and your set... Tuner can set max amount rpm, max speed etc...

So easy to fit gear or gas pedal limiters - and give them keys which activate the limiters. I have a SUV with these fitted and no problems. In the wheel well I have a recorder that records a camera hidden in my rooftop light bar and visible front and rear facing cameras. . Since I have to record business and personal mileage, I always remember the last three milometer digits.

Here in KCMO valet at a casino gave away a Limited Edition Corvette ($70,000), offered the woman $10,000🤦 but she didn't take it and her insurance tried to do her bad too but yet again she refused. I refuse valet parking everytime it's available. I don't trust strangers to drive my car.
I don't even go to car wash places because...
1. most of them don't even have their license
And
2. they don't know how to drive.
Here in KCMO valet at a casino gave away a Limited Edition Corvette ($70,000), offered the woman $10,000🤦 but she didn't take it and her insurance tried to do her bad too but yet again she refused. The car was seen all over but no one could ever catch til this year (a year and a half later🤦). Had high miles, old rims and hood was painted because it was very distinctive.
I never valet my car. It’s a waste of money. I don’t need some 18 year old kids handling my car.

That is bullshit I shouldn’t have to leave a tip within the car to make sure they treat my car in the proper care that they’re paid to do this is unacceptable and valets need to be held legally accountable for going on joyride or damaging peoples car it should be illegal to damage someone’s car not inform the owner of the car told him and the fact that the valet management would encourage their employees not to review information like this is disturbing

I have hidden GPS in all my cars. Some cars have that engine disabled feature. Using those features can help law enforcement find the car(s).

That’s also what happens when you take your car to the Garage shop. If you have a nice or sport car, there is a high chance that they will take your car for a spin.
I just wonder, if you catch a valet abusing your car (reckless driving, donuts, take it for a ride, stealing...) but there is no physical damage, is there anything that you can do? Could you ask for compensation or anything?
