Those 2 were so right together and it was obvious that he truly loved her. Did she dump him or what? I didn't see any of this in real time in 2014, I just now came across this and watched all of their dances...truly magic.
Meryl actually had a boyfriend at the time that eventually became her husband but you can tell they had amazing chemistry and maks was very much into her. I think if Meryl didn’t have a boyfriend and her schedule wasn’t crazy with ice skating, she would have ended up with Maks. Also, Maks was on his way to retiring from dancing with the stars and Meryl’s career was starting to really blossom.
