- Maura Tierney tribute. So glad she recently won a Golden Globe Award for her supporting role on the Affair. She was great as the character of Abby on ER and as the character Lisa on NewsRadio.
She has also done some pretty cool movie roles... my favorite is Oxygen, because she was the leading character. But I also love her work in Primal Fear, Insomnia, Liar Liar, Instinct, Welcome to Mooseport and Primary Colors.

Phil Wyles obviously, the first 15 aren’t her best work.

Maura was my favorite, but everybody was stellar on NewsRadio. Hundreds more good moments of her to be had in the series.

I don't look up many actresses and watch almost every work they've done. She may be the first. Usually I only do that with actors like Newman, Bogart, Gable...But I liked her work on ER and became fans of her and Goran Visnjic. I love pretty much everything they both have done.

I wish the poker scene included Dave checking what her hand really was.
The two that are missing: The restaurant where they are discussing the efficiency expert requiring polygraph tests for all and Dave asks if anyone has committed a crime and as he names the crimes, Lisa keeps raising her hand and then details her SAT-related crimes.
The other is when she is on a break during retaking the SAT and meets a student who in nonchalant about the test - by the end of their convo, Lisa is offering the now panicked student a cigarette.
Maura Tierney is awesome on this show!
She doesn't give herself enough credit, she says she was the "straight woman" on this show, but they called on her to be funny routinely and she was, waving her arms around like the weird person Lisa was.
I believe I heard that the producers of ER wanted her long before NewsRAdio went off the air. They had to wait until the show was cancelled. So she pretty much had a job waiting for her.
Sounds believable, Stephen Root is good friends with her and has basically alluded to that.

I am not even sure why you included that first clip... that is more of Matthew and Joe funny moment than a great Maura/Lisa moment... all she does is act incredulous... nothing that funny or special about it.
There were zero great Lisa moments. She was a tool to set up jokes for other actors.
