Thanks for some potential inspiration for my upcoming trip. My list trip to London was the first time I did true street photography and I loved it. I feel I got some really good shots but want to hit some different areas this time and always like to see some others' stuff for inspiration.

A guide would always be helpful. Especially some lesser known photo spots would be banger.

This guide idea is great, but maybe in first place a video in which you explain how you prepare for new cities you have never been to before and how you choose your routes there would be really interesting and helpfull!

Out of the topic question - What software do you use to edit your photos with the Sony cameras? Recently I bought the Sony A7IV with the Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 and I can't open the raw (ARW format) files in Adobe Lightroom.

If I want to pair an ultrawide lens with expectation of a bit of crop to use as everyday lens to the A7RV 723g with Tamron 50-400mm F4.5-6.3 1155g, should I get Loawa 10-18mm F4.5-5.6 manual lens 496g, Sony 12-24mm F4 565g or Sigma 14-24mm F2.8 795g?
But will Sony 12-24mm F4 mark 2 release soon? F2.8 seem not much different to F4 in low light for the extra weight and price. That 10-18 is nice but no electronic contact and weaker performance to use as main lens but there are people try to make their lens less sharp too, so it's good choice?
I also found the Tamron 17-50 F4 and it is amazing to have same series lens to cover ranges continuously but 17 isn't wide enough, 50 is covered and >=30 can just reach with few steps back, right? Also a TH-camr said that Sony 20-70 has serious distortion and won't be 20mm after correction, true? How about the 17-50, will it still be true 17mm after correction? How do you correct it for video use, is it auto done in lens or camera, how about manual lens with no contact? Does power zoom essential on the Sony 16-35mm F4, do dolly zoom able to achieve with these manual zoom lens smoothly too and even fixed lens with software?

You might get away to the london eye "wire" shot if you use a selfie stick and an iphone, cause then you will be "just a tourist" :D....also great shots, even from the pissy phonebooth 😀

Good choice of lens, but I know what you mean, it's the most expensive lens I've ever purchased also. But really worth it. I have a single hand strap I use, I'd recommend it when you are around a lot of people that can bump the camera. It's saved my butt a few times. Especially when you are holding about $6K in your one hand. :)

Could you do a POV in Birmingham city centre because you get great shots of leading lines from the trams and tram lines

Do you feel there's a more accepting attitude or at least a lower sensitivity to street photographers in London compared to U.S. cities? Or, is it just that there are so many tourists in a city like that? I'm guessing that another big part of it is becoming more comfortable yourself and looking confident, not hesitating and looking around when you make shots. I still am not great at shooting with the LCD. I have to work on that more. Fun video! Love seeing walks around London. Have a great weekend!

I’ll give my view on this if you don’t mind. People in London are generally suuuuper nice, and you can usually tell before taking their photo. To be fair I’ve never had an actual conflict in the US or London so what do I know.

Great photos and editing! I have a question, do you have an iPad Pro (2021 or newer) or a Mac or PC with an HDR (XDR on Apple) display? Im just asking because I’m wondering if you’ve tried HDR editing in Lightroom? I have it on my iPad and it’s making me so mad that I have no way to share my HDR photos, they look so good. It’s not like regular HDR like we photographers have been doing for years with merging different exposures, it’s more like the screen itself brightens up where it’s needed to give more dynamic range. It basically looks like when you lower the brightness slider and reveal details but at the same time the brightness of the screen increases. Just trying to explain how it looks. I just wonder if I’m the only one who thinks it is amazing or not.

At 12mm I’d rather just shoot on my wide angle lens on the phone 😅. Also bold choice to shoot people with that lens. The bodies get pretty stretchy haha.
