I know someone who entered the program, was making their monthly payments on time only to find out that the company allowed the accounts to go into charge off status and THEIR CREDIT IS NOW WORSE THAN WHEN THEY ENTERED THE PROGRAM and the negative notations on their credit report only makes things worse.

I just started the program, they tell ahead before you sign up that this is gonna happen. They have to negotiate on closed accounts, this way then can negotiate with the collection agency. Approximately 50% off of what you owe. I really hope this works for me and your friend.

@@guionsl1 I have been with Americor for a year now and just switched to Credit 9. My credit score is still horrible. 168 points lower than it currently was and still no progress. What they don't tell you about this program is no one is actually working your accounts for 6 plus months, you have to constantly follow-up with Americor. I actually received a better offer than Americor did with one of my creditors but Americor let that offer expire and I ended settling for 10% more than the original offer I recieved. I still have one creditor reporting negatively to all credit bureaus even though it has been setttled by Americor. Americor and Credit 9 refuse to help. I have to dispute this myself with no assistance. I would not recommend them to anyone.

@@jennifermorrison1185it sounds like there are more details than what you are sharing. I followed through with my obligations to make my deposit and I also tracked my progress off the app americor offers. My credit took a hit while I was in the program, but as soon as I got my settlements in I cut expenses and doubled my deposits. I got out of debt in 18 months and my credit score is a 689. Success in the program is really simple if you do your part. I couldn’t get my mortgage license until Americor helped me resolve my debt.
