No worries. You're totally correct in that Kyle does write cool stuff. This is his solo debut. Previously, he won the 2nd running of Basic Fantasy RPG 's contest series (published as CS2 - The Dark Temple) with his adventure "The Children of Zewlac."

I've recommended OSR or light-walleted DMs buy all the Basic Fantasy RPG materials, but especially this book. It fits the same niche as Greyhawk and the village of hommlet in the odnd days imho.

I'm thinking about trying to adapt this for The Hero's Journey 2nd edition. It has an implied setting of folklore and fairytale themes, along with Tolkien and some other influences.
