I was today years old when I learned that Aoyama Yoshino made appearance in 86 Eighty Six lmao.
So, Suzushiro Sayumi (Nijika), Hasegawa Ikumi (Ikuyo) and Yoppi (Hitori) were working together before hmm.
I've been not feeling well recently I thought I wouldn't be able to upload today. I'm kind of forcing myself to upload this, sorry I couldn't even put outro this time.
Their meeting was literally like in 1st episode!!
Sayumi was the one who talk Yoppi first then asked:
"We'll be working togerther in Bocchi anime, right?" which is so similar to "That's guitar, right?", then Yoppi responding as Bocchi with inner monologue xD

Bocchi is literally her. No other character can come close to relating to her like her. There is no way you can convince me that she's not Bocchi. Bocchi could not possibly be any more her. It’s her, and nobody can convince me otherwise. If anyone approached me about this not possibly being her, I immediately shut them down with overwhelming evidence that Bocchi was her. Bocchi is absolutely her; it is indisputable. (and you get the rest)

Aoyama Yoshino really struggled before BTR. She is veteran, has good singing skill, but not cast to major role that often.
Still remember her in Wake Up Girls. That was a while ago now.
@@trollface9903 that's her debut. WUG is not that successful, and eventually disbanded. Thus she is in awkward situation where she has a career and getting by as seiyuu, but not very famous.
BTR launched her to stardom.
I knew her in Isekai Smartphone and Isekai Nekoya,but the first major role i ever know from her when she voice Makoto in Shachibato,which funnily enough she voice a man,after that i didn't hear her voice again as Major until BTR come,and now many people knew her even more

@@Hazlacz relatively veteran. She debuted in 2014. That means 8 years experience as seiyuu by the time she do BTR.
She worked as idol in WUG group so not entirely seiyuu work, also she mentioned getting rejected many times in seiyuu audition. Imagine 8 years, only 20++ anime.

I hope Yoppi gets more roles now. Work is work, but she's too good to be voicing random background girls.
Yeah, she deserves to be the main character, or at least a good supporting character.
Her voice acting is too "normal" and realistic. It doesn't work in an industry where squeaky moe voices are in more demand.
FYI she's already being lead cast back in 2017. If you look anime "Love Tyrant" (it's romance-comedy anime) you'll see yoppi as main cast

It’s voice acting, even big names voice random background characters all the time. Yuri Lowenthal and Liam o Brian are two of the biggest names in English voice acting and they both voice random NPCs all the time. It’s not a secure job so you take work whenever it comes by.

Wow, so the casting for BTR was already done while 86 was still in production, so at least a year before. Wouldn't have thought that. And Sayumi is a great senpai.
Ikumi Hasegawa is funny too, she seems quite different IRL from the roles she tends to get.
I read somewhere that bocchi's development took 3 years or something like that (2019-2022)
@@lylearthur9994 That may have been a bit on the long side due to covid lockdowns, but 18-24 months is normal even without delays.
I love 86 so much that I fell even more in love with BTR because of that. Especially when I heard that some of the 86 cast would also be in BTR, that seriously blew me away and I got super excited. Needless to say, they did a phenomenal job as expected.
Gotta check out 86 sometimes soon.

The anime also does the source material justice and it's just a bit sad I can't enjoy it fully since I already knew the plot

It still saddens me how many people missed out on it’s greatness during it’s time, especially when the second season aired and some people didn’t even know. The story elements, characters, symbolism, themes, all of it were done so exceptionally well that most anime could be put to shame. With that said, if you’re sentimental to subjects like racism, inhumane treatment, war, loss, and injustice, then I wouldn’t recommend diving into it.

I love how the friendship between Aoyama-san Suzushiro-san was already happen before BTR aired,and obviously many people didn't even know Aoyama-san in 86 since she was have role as Background Character,while Suzushiro-san and Hasegawa-san was main one,but nevertheless they know they going to work together in BTR was so great,and im glad they in same anime again😁
I actually love how 86 being mentioned,even though they obviously in difference anime and normaly anime with different studio didn't mix up together,but we can see the connection behind it.
Also,im happy that Yoshino Aoyama-san finally being recognize even more after Bocchi The Rock aired😁

Yeah, Blu-rays and DVDs are already being released in Japan. There's relatively many bonus features since anime don't usually get a lot, but not this video at least since it's from Suzushiro's personal radio show. I think some of the Bocchi The Radio episodes might be included? The only bonuses I know for sure are the Road to Guitar Hero videos and the lyric videos.

I laughed in BTR before crying in 86. I literally couldn't find any other anime that atleast can keep up with BTR but instead i got a masterpiece that made me cry a lot.
Ya 1986 was a tough year. Not only did that nuclear reactor explode in Chernobyl but the Space Shuttle the Challenger was destroyed along with its astronauts. Last time i went to 86 i cried to. Btw did you time travel after watching bochi or did you take a copy of the anime series with you when you went back?

Before BTR, I knew she was the cool member of Wake Up Girls. Then TH-cam randomly recommended her channel to me one time. I would play her streams in the background even though I didn't understand much Japanese. Then I found out she was in BTR while it was airing, and all the behind the scenes stuff and radio translations helped me realize she's very different from how I saw her in WUG.
Not sure if it was the translator here or the original audio, but I love the addition of the background music. Gives the whole thing a very comfortable feel.
