The Queen departs: Queen Mary 2 at New York 12-21-24

Who doesn't love the Queen Mary 2?! This fan favorite ocean liner, the flagship for Cunard, paid New York a visit today! And in true queenly fashion, she put on a good show when she departed from Brooklyn this evening! With enough lights to rival the city, she gracefully moved through the harbor to make her exit to begin her travels to Philipsburg! The Queen Mary 2 will be back in New York on January 3, and that will be the last time we see her until March as she traverses the Atlantic! My Mom and I took the QE2 from Southampton to NYC. It was one of the most boring cruises I have been on (at least 40). Besides the class system, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, my Mom booked 2nd class. You can not talk to the waiters or really anyone serving you. Our waiter got in trouble because I tried to talk to him (I always have on any cruise). I went to the Maitre D and complained.
Crossing the Atlantic is boring as hell. Can't go outside, too windy and cold. You could to Afternoon Tea!! By the end of the cruise, I was crying.
