    I like the sandpaper trick to get the right radius for the handle. They look great.

      Thank you, David. Come for the beer, stay for the art. :)

    Awesome job. I like the way you shaped the handle to fit the shape of the mug. 👍👍 I made a few mugs recently and added short dowel pins to the handles foe extra strength.

    Something was missed in the video; Was the matte finish from carefully wet sanding? I am not that trusting of a epoxy joint for the handles but I think I have a solution to incorporate wood dowels as someone else has suggested. Thank you for your guidance.

      I simply sanded the epoxy with high grit sandpaper.

    May be a silly question, but are the finishes food safe?
    Also, why did you rotate that particular block of wood at that angle?
    And how would someone put old style handle bracing on them. Like in a medieval pub?
    All that aside, beautiful work.

      Thanks, Garry. Total Boat epoxy is FDA approved for food contact. However, it is not heat resistant, so cold drinks only.

    There are great. I have a friend who wants to make some for his groomsmen. What tool are you using to hollow the mug?

    • @CammiesGarage
      @CammiesGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you, Jerry. I used a lathe (obviously) and a couple of carbide tools to hollow them.

    Those came out superb I prefer the matte look personally and some nice spalting on the one. Were you writing your name with the glue as well. Lol.

      Thank you, Michael. Yes, I'm glad someone caught that I was writing my name.

    Could you use them for lemonade too?

    Those are great, Cam. Not only are they beautiful but it looks like they may hold just enough coffee (lol). Isn't writing your name with glue similar to writing your name in the snow? Take care.
