Sometimes the note can be powerful similar to a super head voice while sometimes it can be quite airy. She runs in it, phrases in it & speaks in it. I think what impresses me so much is her seamless transition from chest to the whistle.
I'll take Mariah, but Betty definitely is something else. Those F7s in the beginning are insane. And the Emotions whistles she did up to F#7 were good too.

Mariah can do whistle notes but at the same time, their so airy and it makes it sound so pretty like your watching angels sing from heaven. Betty's whistle were good but you know the way she put it in the song i think its her biggest weakness of her whistle. Like she just scream the whistle out of knowere. And some times the control is not that right and sometimes pitchy specially on that emotions clip. I think there is a real flaw in Betty's whistle but its powerful and also can hit 7th octave notes. The control, how she puts it or when she will use it, the tone, the ease in high notes, how sweet the tone is, the texture is good and dynamics, runs in there and vibrato is always well excecuted and creativity, and of course overall technique. The difference between Mariah and everyone else is that when she sings in the whistle register it doesn’t sound forced. She looks and sounds comfortable.
What's interesting is that in the beginning of her career, Mariah's whistles were more powerful and therefore more "jarring" to the ear - more similar to Betty's actually. Over time they got softer - but sounded prettier and "easier on the ears" as a result.

Well the agility in the whistle register made me vote for Mariah. It also hits the right notes most of the times.
The difference between Mariah and everyone else is that when she sings in the whistle register it doesn’t sound forced. She looks and sounds comfortable.
Understand that Betty is a SOUL singer and Mariah is a Pop singer, so they're definitely gonna sound different and have different strengths.

What's interesting is that in the beginning of her career, Mariah's whistles were more powerful and therefore more "jarring" to the ear - more similar to Betty's actually. Over time they got softer - but sounded prettier and "easier on the ears" as a result.
