This is so festive and fun. The dragon and lions look so traditional and cool ! Love the flashy lights inside of the dragons 🐉 The martial arts teams are incredible as always, super impressive 💜👍🏼
Standards of lion dance in Singapore has gone up. High Pole is now the default performance. CNY is over and they will take a break and continue practicing for future performances.

Compass One is a mall we’ve also been to.
It’s probably connected to Sengkang Station, and since it has a large atrium, We think it’s perfect for enjoying Lion Dance or Dragon Dance performances!
We were captivated by the expressive and dynamic movements of the Lion Dance and the active and charming movements of the Dragon Dance.

Yosh and Iku, I have been unwell for a week, sorry for the late reply. Yes, you remembered correctly. Compass One is connected to the Sengkang MRT station. The atrium is big and suitable for lion and dragon dance performances. In contrast, the Jurong Point main stage is very narrow.
I live near to Compass One, and sometimes walk home from there (15 mins) to get some exercise. I have 1 more lion dance video to wrap up my CNY filming.
SUTD should design a uniquely Sg CNY Mascot or Toys for all local Lion Troupes, get Gov or GLC to sponsor and cheer crowd for festive season greetings.
Thanks for you suggestion. I would prefer every troupe to source for their toys and give-aways. Otherwise every group will have similar toys to give out.

This was a sunday at 5.30pm. The atrium and the upper floors are crowded, but there's sufficient space for everyone. Filming is a challenge. Thanks for your comment.
The best way to film this kind of event is 3 axis camera on selfie stick. But, need to point the camera in right angles, using Bluetooth app to guide along.
No need to film peoples heads.
