Ive been a trained guitarist for over 10 years at this point, and honestly I find myself seeking out these types of videos because sometimes it’s so easy to get lost in your own bullshit and pride to play everything perfect how it should be from the onset. This even applies to guitar tone, for months I was trying to figure out how to get my tone to sound just like this one math rocker I really love… Then he ended up making a video showing his guitar chain and all he fucking did was use the stock Ableton compressor and OTT 💀💀💀. Don’t waste time chasing prestige! Chase the shit that makes you hype
even tho i'm a guitar player this is very interesting / inspiring to watch as you get a totally different perspective on how you can use the instrument, and use it in different ways than i'm used to.
🔥 Another technique if you can’t play well is to play without a metronome, just express however you're feeling and improv riffs. In ableton you can drag audio straight from the workspace to a serato sample. Then just hit “find samples.” Change key or speed and play different notes on midi controller. Whether you halftime it or double speed it in Serato it will make anything you played fit to the bpm you’re on whenever you hit a key. Then just play random keys and it sounds like you’re going crazy on beat. I remember the first producer hitting me back asking “who played guitar on it sounds like some Jimi shit.” I do this with all my improvs but works especially well with guitar. It's a way to practice and compose at the same time
can you show us how your master your beats or how to make sure your beats are leveled (at a good volume that can sound good with whatever youre using to listen to)
what a fresh and funky appearance this guy have. Even I would rather learn to play such simple stuff and simply layer it I really dig the idea and creativity. Every workaround for your own limitation could be the next game changer or a simple seed for a new technique. good job thank you
the legend back again, you and taz mean so much to me man. i really love music and i know i understand it but i’m so unmotivated but you guys help a lot. much love ❤️
dont wait for motivation bro. dedicate yourself. wake up early, and do it anyway, even if you dont want to. that is how you climb out of the hole you're in. hope that helps fam, keep making beats :)

My man should change his name to Ragu Bertolli because he is saucing up producers pantries to help you improve your recipes. This video cooks with good tips and techniques. Well done Bro.
Can you make a video to explain your bounces/files workflow? :) you seems to bounce your work every time you are closing your fl or ableton project, how to you stay organize with all your bounce, stems etc. Thanks a lot for your work
Hey rio it’s a combination of relative pitch and understanding the relationship between notes which is also called Intervals. You have a good interval ear 😂👍👍
i think a way to help with learning how it will sound already is, just overall using notes quite a bit, like saying if you had a note and then pitched it down one its quite easy to tell 10:00
you're the goat Rio. Fav producer by so far. Would you ever offer up some way for a fan to meet you/work on some beats w you? Maybe a competition or paid thing?
what matters is your taste i noticed nick mira makes amazing guitar melodies, while being not the most skillfull guitar player u don't need to be jimi hendrix or something 🙏
Damn I knew I shouldn’t have fucked around in 7th grade guitar class I used to be good at that shit got awards from the teacher most improved and 1st chair mannnnnn I would’ve been straight I gotta get back into it

i would but i’m so busy with working, i feel like it’s more valuable making all the videos since then everyone wins off it rather than just one person
