Awesome video brother. Love the detail you go into all well covering the subject. Usually you have to listen to someone talk about their entire life before they get to the point. 🤘 keep it up
I found this out the hard way with my 97, Installed some Halo LED Head Lights and I wanted the Halo to flash with the turn signals. Lucky for me I had access to AllData at the time and could look up the wiring diagram and schematic. But Man I was confused for about an hour until gave up and went to work and printed out all the info I needed
Did you have to do anything special with the plug that goes into the factory socket? I bought a set of these and for some reason I cannot seem to get the DRL’s or Turn signals to light up even thought the factory ones did.
Great Video , I am doing this update know , but mine does not have the additional wire for the Halo. Do you have a video for the Headlight projector or upper light mod ? Thanks
Funny you just asked today. One of mine just failed after 2 years and I ordered another set which are the same as you describe. It doesn't have the extra wire but does have 3 wires going to the plug. I was going to record an install video tomorrow. I may not get it fully uploaded tomorrow but it'll be soon.
I recently installed these with new led flashers. Problem is right side halo turns off and left stays yellow lines when I turn blinker on with headlights on. I have halo fogs wired into drls and they work fine. Could I take white wire and put it with halo/drl wires to fix issue? Thx for any help
Jason, I have an issue with my headlights. I was wondering if you can help. It regards the white rubber stops for the headlights. I tried buying an after market stopper but for some reason the shaft on the headlight arm keeps taking it apart, pushes it out, or ends up bypassing the rubber stop getting the shaft stuck on top of the rubber stop. Do you have any suggestions as to making sure it does not happen. It’s on my drivers side my passengers side works great. Thanks in advance.
My guess is the nylon gears are stripped out and it's overshooting the mark. I just had that happen on one of mine where the arm went past the stopper and got jammed up. I replaced it with a brass gear kit and now it works perfectly. When I took it apart, 1 gear tooth was completely gone. It must've been free spinning, then on the next cycle it started out of position and went too far .
Yeah, that part is a bummer. All the lights on the front match except for the new turn signal halos. I may disable that part or have them turn on with my headlights.
Where do I wire up the white wire if I want the halo running all the time like you explained it I want them just how you had them in the preview of the video at the beginning but I don't want to disable the module is there a different way I ordered the same ones for my red ws6
You have to disable the module to run it like I do. There's no way around that. The lights will be constant amber during the daytime without disabling it.
@@performancemodsbuilds8200 if it's wired the way I describe it in the video it will. Halos will be on all the time and switch to the amber sequential when the turn signal is activated.
My dad bought these lights and is trying to hook up the white wire to the power source and is having trouble finding where a good power source is ? Any help would be awesome . Pick etc . Thanks!
I actually ordered these off of amazon, I may have miswired or just not familiar with the operation but on testing, the resistors seemed way too hot, is this normal operation?
Yeah they do get pretty hot. I believe they are 50watt resistors so they can burn your hand and still operate. To help dissipate the heat, you can always bolt them to part of the framing in that little cubby. I have mine cable tied sort of loose so they are hanging and not touching any wires.
I've been looking everywhere and can't find really any info on the hood decal. I'm thinking 45×45 will fit my 2000 ram air hood but they are specified for different year models. Would you mind telling me where you got yours and the dimensions? Thank you. BTW I emailed your for a price sheet on the knight rider lights
Jason, I got these turn signals and when I looked on here, of course I found you. A few questions I have , the turn signals blink very slow, like 10 seconds apart, sometimes longer for the passenger side. Also noticed the resister heats up quite a bit, is that normal. Where exactly is the best place to hook up the white wires?
Not sure about this but try replacing your turn signal relay or resistor under the dash with a led one it sounds like the same problem I had and a led resistor or relay solved it not sure what the name of the part is
Any reason why mine don't light up at all, in any mode? I tried each light module in the driver and passenger sides, tried flipping the connector 180 degrees, tried with the headlights on and off... all with no sign of life. Could they be dead?
I bought these lights and wanted just the yellow horizontal lines as the running lights but when I plug them into the connector the blinker doesn’t work. Does the white wire have to be connected?
