Did you do thias whole beat on the 1000? Or did you use other equipment? I've had mine for a while but only just started using it last couple of weeks. Feel like i may need some out board equipment to really get the drums thumpin and samples real nice! Dope beat!
Hi there, the only out board equipment I used was a record player and I sent the stereo out on the mpc thru a compressor before it got into logic. Although I didn't show it in this video i think i mixed two kick samples and two snare samples to the drums really pumping.
@@surfinbearbeats yeah nice. I need to layer my drums more, half the time it's laziness. I'm thinking to buy a quadraverb and run it through that or maybe throw my sp404 back in the set up.
@@boombaporiginal3359 aye layer the drums at the start then its just a question of putting nice samples on top. Highly recommend getting the 404 back out. Use mine in-between my record player and the mpc 1000. What the MPC doesn't have, the 404 does have and vice versa
