    The Uke is such a fun instrument. I firmly believe it's something every musician should have, it's simple and fun, and you can make it technical if you want.

      I just purchased one of these and it's terrific. All solid mahogany, looks and plays great, electronics, including tuner, for plugging in and only $70 delivered. I can't figure out how they make money at that price.

    Just changed my strings today and it was much harder than my guitar. 😂 Too many ways to restring the slotted headstock. 😩 Love the chords but no clue what the song Riptide is. 😂

    I'm confused when you first say it's 2-3-2-3 and then later say to move it back to 1-2-1-2 (though they both sound like they resolve fine to the C).

    • @seandaniel23
      @seandaniel23  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well since we've been playing in C, and dim7 chords always throw things off a bit, the tonal center will always be kind of back home.

    low G tuning? That's what I prefer. BTW, why do they typically tune to high G instead of low G?

    • @seandaniel23
      @seandaniel23  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure actually. I'll look into it!

    • @tonyamason2935
      @tonyamason2935 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The high G sounds more like the traditional Hawaiian instrument. The low G has a little bit more of a guitar sound. It’s way more versatile for covering modern popular music. Also anything where you want a root note for a bass line.
      I keep my soprano and concert ukes tuned with a high G, and my tenor with a low G.

    I found some nice ukelele chords for *Le Bal Des Laze* once, but I've lost the bookmark (and the only instrument I ever butcher is the guitar, so there are some transpositions involved).
    Oh, the song? It's the one by *Michel Polnareff* th-cam.com/video/tPxajzP-2jQ/w-d-xo.html
    (Really, you need a proper organ in the right kind of church to play it properly, but that has never stopped the Lords of Uke.)

    Sean Daniel's, lord of the uke, Meh guitarist hahahah. No joking obviously. He's shite at the uke to hahaha
    No I'm here watching for a reason. Sean is a great musician and teacher. I don't know why I'm watching a uke video though. 3 typed of people uke is made for Tiny Tim rocking out tip to through the tulips , large Hawaiians, and sexy little chicks with good voices. I am none of the above
    Hopefully if he reads this he makes it past the 1st ball busting bit
