Wow, I’ve always loved those. Before I bought my ‘74 D100 ten years ago I was seriously looking at A100s, and I told myself I would only buy a really solid original, or a nicely redone one. But even 10 years ago the prices for nice ones were above my pay grade lol. Oh well. That one sure is a beauty!

Impressed with the A100 but more so with the gentleman owner. Great that he asked his Grandson’s blessing before trading. Looks like his priorities are in order, and I’m sure he’s a great friend. Great video, Andy…..and it appears the Monkey pulls you around pretty well! I want one!

My father owned a 65 A100 van. 225, three on the tree, heavy duty suspension, C rated tires. Towed things he shouldn't have. Eventually ate the rear, but the engine and trans held up. 1st gear was not synchronized.

Long ago I worked at a dodge dealership and we had one as the shop truck. Seeing as this was in the California desert rust was not an issue. I wouldn't be surprised if it was still on the road.

Nice paint on that baby! My uncle had one which was a van. One day he was outside working, and he heard his van start cranking its starter! He turned to look, and there was the van crawling down the street on its starter, with no one in the van and smoke filling the cabin. This was in the 1970s or early '80s, and he simply pulled the battery connection an sold it. He and my aunt had made several trips across the country while living in that van, travelling to art shows.
    I hope I'm in as good a shape when I'm 73!

    What a beauty Andy
Remember the Dodge Deora concept vehicle was based off a modified version of these trucks/vans.
Dodge really pioneered unibody vans and this was working towards that. You could order even a 426 workhorse wedge in the vans. Don't know if the PU's were available with that.
I do remember lots and lots of these pickups around the railyards back in the 60s. Both CN and CP canadian railroads were a huge corporate buyer of these. Rusted off the face of the earth up here, with our road salt.
Really takes you back. Thanks Andy.
