We have recently purchased an old trawler to fix up and turn into a liveaboard. I'm so looking forward to starting work on it and eventually liveaboard. Thanks so much for your inspirational videos. :) Watching from Queensland, Australia.

Great tips. Security is a big deal, especially these days. I know folks who lock their boat all the time. I also know folks who have never locked their boat, with no issues.

This is so true. I think most boats are safe most of the time locked or unlocked, but the unfortunate exceptions to that rule are pretty awful!

@@TheSeaYallLife Yep. Saw a story where a guy got to his boat, to find all of the electronics removed. Fortunately, the thief was sloppy and left big clues behind. He tracked the thief (fellow boat owner) South. A Wildlife Officer was actually standing next to him discussing the case, when the thief sailed by, right in front of them. He got all of his stuff back. Most folks aren't as lucky.

Love your boat and the trawler life. I've been going back and forth between a sailboat and a trawler for over a year now and think the trawler is the way to go. 98% of boat time is not moving so think the space needs to be the biggest focus. For me also Air-conditioning a washer electric stove oven and BBQ. A secondary means of propulsion and stabalizer probably gyroscope

Thank you! Yes, we think trawler life is the way to go for a liveaboard… So much space! And, of course, our range on one tank of fuel is very far. Everything on your must-have list makes perfect sense… We do not have air-conditioning, but we wish we did. Thankfully we don’t need it very many days of the year in California!

Here in phuket it's 38 degrees Celsius so it's a must or impossible to sleep for me. 😉
