I would add to run those diesels under load, not just idle. In the fire service, our diesel engines have a ton of idle time and that increases maintenance issues. Totally agree, run those engines persistently.
Great tips, thanks. For removing rust cheaper than buying the remover; Bye Oxalic Acid powder usually Amazon for $15.00. 1 tablespoon to 1 gallon of warm water to help dissolve and spray on the rust or mustache of your bow/hull.
Simple Green in a 2-1 to 5-1 mixture and a stiff nylon brush is all you need for your boat. It even dissolves spider crap without hurting any surfaces. Buy it by the gallon.
We decided to follow our dreams after watching your videos. I grew up in San Diego, then moved away & missed it every since.
