    Other than gloss material. Have you done anything on matte white material? If you have, what are youre settings for it? I been having trouble on it where my prints have this weird marks when shined on the light. Please share any help.

      Hi, have you got an example of the type of item you're trying to sublimate? I've had an issue before where a solid surface with a slight texture would show white 'river' like markings, which was down to needing more pressure.

      @@savagekitten its matte white aluminum material. My settings are at 450° not sure how many pounds of pressure on it. I been playing with the settings for a while and still get those what you called river marks. Any suggestions?

      I know the type you mean - it does sound very similar to the problem I had and finding that pressure 'sweet spot' solved it. Try playing around with more pressure - also, I've found before that if my sublimation paper has a slight texture to it, then a smooth paper can give better results on awkward substrates.

    I am new to sublimation & I have MDF keychains I’ve been trying to work on but my design won’t transfer … What am I doing wrong ? 🥺

      Hi, have you been able to sublimate other items? And what is happening when you try with the keychains - nothing sublimating at all? Faint? Faded?

    How do u calculate the time required fir each type of material?

    • @savagekitten
      @savagekitten  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      A lot of blanks suppliers will publish suggested temp and time settings - start with those, and if the results aren't good enough then really it's trial and error from there... like most things, experience makes it easier to judge if it's too hot/cold, too long/not long enough etc. Also, check out forums and discussions from others, as it can help to see what settings they use - it will still vary depending on your press, inks, paper and 'blanks'

    Hi, i've recently bought some handing mdf signs from Longforte. I've just tested it and the heat tape is tearing the mdf on the back. Have you ever had this issue, am i pressing too firm and hard? Thanks :)

    • @savagekitten
      @savagekitten  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd suggest leaving the pressed item to completely cool if you can, then peel the tape slowly and gently. I've not had quite what you describe, but do find if I remove the tape when still hot it can take some of the black paint with it.
