    I *love* Ozone and also love this technique of using submixes. However... Ozone can get pretty processor intensive and it also has a relatively high latency. I would recommend being confident that you are done tracking before using any cpu heavy mixing plugins (I like to mix as I go when building a track so plugins get dropped in often when Im not done!) Great video thank you!

    Love the main 3 busses idea. Thank you.

    It’s so nice to watch this and have already been doing it and just not know what it was called

    Great video! I love Ozone, and have only been doing a vocal and instrumental bus. I like the rhythm bus idea, and I continue to hear that doing more l/r subtle processing helps with the stereo image. And great song too!!

    Wow, I have learnt so much from watching you tuition, thank you so much, I’m gonna put all this into my projects now, just got to save up for the plugins 😂😂😂

    Your music is great! Could you please do a tutorial on your effects?

    Thank you, I learned much. I've always used the Ozone 9 Exciter "Oversample" feature on the main track & not the sub track. Good Lesson. Is there a recommended video series on how to use Izotope products? (for purchase) I own the total package when it was still RX8.

    Why do you use Ozone on the busses and not Neutron? I use Ozone on my Master Bus when I'm mastering but have never really thought about using it anywhere else particularly in the mix phase. Just ignorance no other reason. I'm genuinely intrigued.

      Neutron also works great---I like to use the masking feature to dynamically dip the instrument bus when the vocal kicks in. However, Ozone is nice because it's designed for mastering and it's easy to get more fine tuned with adjustments (i.e. smaller scales for EQ) and there are some cool amazing modules that are unique to it

    This was really helpful. Thanks for sharing! I like how you use very subtle changes but when you did the final A/B comparison it made such a huge improvement. Curious, what delay did you use on the vocals? BTW, your music is very good. This song has a definite “hook.” Is your music on any of the streaming platforms?

    I HAVE A QUESTION:
    So for example, the drum bus are not sending to the master but instead to the rhythm bus (so the rhythm bus is sending all to the masterbus) ?? or the drum bus is on a sidechain to the rhythm bus ???

      Was about to ask the same. Ozone can be CPU heavy

    Thanks for this tutorial. But these are not submixes, they are Stems or Group, because you keep original tracks in the project. Submixes are really mixes of certain instruments to eliminate tracks mixed in that bus track. Sorry.

      There are a lot of ways to employ submixes, depending on your mixing style. We have even more ways in our Learn tutorial: www.izotope.com/en/learn/5-approaches-to-submixes.html

    similar to Lou Diaz's method - Brauerizing, yes/no?!)

      @easternsouvenirs 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Definitely a lot of different approaches and a lot of mixers who do variations of this! Brauer's method is next level for sure

    It looks really bad when you don't even loop the same portion of the song for an A/B comparison.
    iZotope is for noobs.🤣
