    This is by far the best elucidation on the difference between true love and attachment. My wife and I feel so much joy and affection towards each other the more we work towards allowing Jesus to enter our hearts and minds. There seems to be a sign
    that our love for each other is grounded in our spiritual lives. Still, I would suffer greatly without her companion and presence in my life. I'm human.

    Yeah, very true. These are things I am also personally guilty of; being so concerned with worldly scandals and the scandals going on in the Catholic Church. I definitely have to work on shifting my focus to becoming more holy in the sight of GOD. Tough call, but still very doable.

      A priest says who? Was he ordained properly? Not if this one is connected to Pius the 10th. Roman Catholics you that consider yourself so if you adhere to Pius the 10th or any of those offshoot groups, don't you know Lucifer has pulled the wool over your eyes ? Do your research pray to the Holy Ghost they talk the good talk for sure but when you would here to Rome which the abomination of desolation has been set up there in the Holy place it's smacking your face that they're evil. But their words are honey regarding some religious history but when they support the anti Pope's flee flee flee. Remember St Athanasius, he said we have the faith but they have the church a building a mere building. Pray to the Virgin Mary for truth because you can't mix ERROR and truth together and make it true.

    If you love the Church you defend it in a Christian manner especially in these days of Apostasy because we are being led astray by so many prelates who are wolves in sheep’s clothing. In the same token as St. Matthew in Chapter 7 states we must remove the log in our own eye before we can help our brother.
    Praise to St. John Of The Cross! We lack warriors such as this and we need leadership that points us to heavenly ways not worldly ways. Pax Domini Sit Semper Vobiscum!

    I agree with what he is saying except for one concern: as a parent, you do have to have a concern for what hollywood and the music industry put out in regards to our children. You can keep the TV off, internet away etc, when they're young, but you have to fight them at some point, even if it's boycotts. You have to educate and raise your child being aware of what Satan's traps are.

    I think arguing on blogs or anywhere else produces little fruit to the opposing side as I have experienced with my Protestant friend over the phone. I do think the internet is crucial to the otherwise isolated faithful like myself to keep plugged in. There are many people who are confused and would be led astray had it not been for Lifesitenews or Church Militant. Mother Angelicas persecution demonstrated that this fight would have to be bottom up rather than top down. I agree there are vocations for those who go into the desert and live a life of prayer. But at the same time Michael Voris is doing a great job overall. And yes when you fight the devil you need to be careful not to fall in the process. Just not want to broad brush that I should avoid blogging rather I should be charitable blogging.

    I had just realize the profound meaning of Gen3:15...after the fall of man.. Man had only two choices regardless of faith you embraced.. Either you are an offspring of the Woman or you become the offspring of Satan...God the Father gave His begotten son to be born to the Woman... and Jesus command all of us to be spiritually born again,meaning become like a little child again under the guidance of a Woman as our spiritual mother... There is no other choice.. The battle that is set before us in this world is only between the Woman offspring vs. Satan offspring... Purgatory is a holy suffering.. One solution is offered by the saints...all the elect must be in the womb of Mary....remember the tree of life is the Mother's womb... As we pray... "and blessed is the fruit of THY WOMB Jesus.. "Godbless. S&IHMMP4us.Amen

      J Money really i love St. Montfort i name my son after him.. Im. reflecting now on original sin.. Its my new interest.. And im exploring St. Augustine teaching.. Im really incline to believe now that the original sin is the "sexual act" committed by Adam & Eve not in the presence of God... but in the presence of Satan... Thats why St. Thomas called it "happy fault" ..Adam & Eve enjoy it and willfully acted on it thats why it 's really a grave sin of disobedience... Plus ofcourse doing sexual acts under the inspiration & suggestion of Satan... you really cant imagine how far did Adam & Eve go to fully satisfy their flesh.. Sin of lust as transmitted to all mankind.. St. Augustine was really a genius.i mean divinely inspired. Godbless

      Jong Ricafort. God bless you! You have wisdom and understanding unlike many who do not comprehend that in Gen.3:15 God drew the battle lines; hence, the Children of The Woman and the children of the serpent satan are combatants. The Woman is Mary Immaculate, as identified by her own Son, Jesus Christ, at the wedding at Cana, and then again at the foot of the Cross. Gen. 3:15 should make all those who blaspheme the Blessed Virgin Mary, like the Baptists and other protestants, shudder to know that by doing so they identify themselves as children of satan, the devil, and are, therefore, damned.

      Makes perfect sense J R ... in The Garden, God is the only Creator and disordered sexual pleasure is the 'apple'. This also explains the shame of 'being naked' and the strategic use of the fig leaves. Also that the elect MUST be the seed of Mary is perfectly spelled out in Gen 3:15. ... who says internet evangelization is not effective? Thanks Philo and J R. .... BTW, trying to get back to your appreciation of Mary's "Yes" and how it takes her to The Cross. This is powerful stuff and I can't wait to confront the next Catholic hater. Peace to all.

    Thank you for your teaching. It begs one to ask what am I attached to? When I was listening to you an attachement on my part sprung up within me. I love and am attached to the dogmatic teaching of the Catholic Church in doctrine but more and more in it’s moral teaching, that appreciate and understand more and more profoundly, I think. I love it and wouldn’t want to be separated from it. Is this a désordid affection? Thank you.

    • @vigildino6518
      @vigildino6518 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is my opinion (which could be wrong). One can be attached to whatever they cannot separate from. If you will neglect your duties of your state in life to learn about Catholic Doctrine then you have a problem. If you can put it aside till you have time, then you do not have an attachment but a love for it.

    • @anselman3156
      @anselman3156 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the meaning is that the only wrong attachment is one which hinders one's obedience to God, allowing other people or things to cause one to disobey God. It is a very good thing to love the study of Holy Scripture and Church doctrine. Sadly, many people neglect this. We should always make time to do such reverent study, and share with others what we learn. God bless you, suzanne, in your devotion to God in such studies.

    • @vigildino6518
      @vigildino6518 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Anselman, If an attachment " hinders one's obedience to God" then it is more than just an attachment, it is closer to an occasion of sin. I think the attachments that the saints speak about are not necessarily the ones leading to sin, but are the ones that stop us from being more perfect and more free. So for example if I love music to the extent that I cannot live without it for one day, then that is an unhealthy attachment. But liking music and listening to it when I have time or when I am on break is not sinful. If I can give up music during Lent then I am not attached to music. I think the whole idea is that one has to be free from loving anything much. Freedom from attachment would be the state where I can take it or leave it (something that is not sinful in itself).

    • @anselman3156
      @anselman3156 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Vigil. I agree with you. I think we are both saying that if a good thing-a gift from God-gets in the way of our spiritual progress (what I meant about being obedient to God) then we must be ready to renounce the enjoyment of it. The delightful scent of a rose, and the sweetness of honey, are gifts our Heavenly Father is pleased to give us for our enjoyment. We must always acknowledge that He is the source of them, and that union with Him in Christ is exceedingly sweet and delightful, and should be pursued even at the cost of setting aside the enjoyment of His good creatures for those moments of heavenly union. We should not make anything created a substitute for the delightful spiritual experiences He calls us to, yet we may enjoy them in their place. I identify with suzannes holy preoccupation with the truths of the faith and the Church's teaching. I think that shows a devotion to God and a detachment from worldly things, and is commendable. Of course, it should not result in neglect of loving duties toward others, but it is a way of putting God first. I think others may come to benefit from the knowledge and wisdom she obtains.

    • @vigildino6518
      @vigildino6518 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      anselman, I understood what Suzanne's calls an attachment as really a "love of" God and His Teachings. That is not an attachment that we should eliminate. One has a duty to learn the Catholic Faith. What I was thinking of is for example a wife or husband being attached to learning more and more theology (such as what a priest would study) and in doing so neglecting their duties to their children and loved ones. If they study extra theology when they can but are willing to drop it if they cannot, then there is no attachment. We all know that praying is good, but if a mother is so attached to praying a lot, that she neglects a child and leaves it alone to go pray, then prayer in this case is not good. BTW, there is no end to learning about God/theology. So no one can really know it all no matter how much one studies.

    What this priest says about why people go to purgatory is not what the church teaches. Purgatory is where the holy souls are, so souls who very well did want to become holy in this life, but we're still attatched to some venial sin when they died. Therefore purgatory is needed to purge us of any last imperfections that prevent us from being able to enter heaven. So the souls who go to purgatory actually are holy.

    • @larrycera9276

      Alexandra Moore his point is that they are not SAINTS

    • @vigildino6518
      @vigildino6518 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Alexandra,------------------There are degrees of holiness. St Augustine (I think) said if you want to be a saint, then make the willful decision to be one. Did you not notice that there are degrees of willing something? Don't we will to do many things but the priority of these things are determined by us? That is what the priest is talking about. Making God priority # 1 in our "will" is not the same as putting Him lower on the list. Some souls did not want to become holy all their lives. They could have started a month before they died. Others wanted to get holy to a low degree or a minimum (Go to Mass on Sunday and say a short prayer before going to sleep for instance).

    • @vivalospepes1402
      @vivalospepes1402 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      They have the capacity to be holy because they died in Grace but, they did not make up for all of The Punishment Due to sin! That's it in a nutshell. Potential to be holy that's why we call them the holy souls but not completely holy in the sense that they're able to enter into heaven yet. And I heard it sad that the holy so wouldn't even dare try to enter Heaven or would want to enter happen until the last price is paid for unatoned sin.

    There is one way. Jesus Christ. You must forgive us Father, if WE HAVE NO TRUST FOR 5HE MODERN CLERGY. Sure, we love our pastors and good bishops, but overall? I only trust Jesus Christ. Augustine said " There are wolves within; and sheep without. A whole lot of wolves within. What are YOU going to do when you are removed from your priesthood for what you just taught? Be detached , get a job at Wal-Mart and work until you die keeping your mouth shut. Priests must stand up for what GOD has said is right. Justice and Mercy. What of the clergy that ensured Christianity during the Crusades? I think your tone is off too, like you're acting as if you talk like that. Use that tone without a microphone.
