    Finally someone who knows the value of a rekluse. So tired of all the haters. It’s such an amazing invention that absolutely helps in every way!

    Awesome video as for the two stroke that will probably be my next bike a 250xc. I ride a 17 sxf like you here in Arizona and all my buddy's are on 300 two strokes and make these hill climbs look easy. The 250sxf is fun but man it makes you work a lot more in the technical terrain and you really need a lot of momentum up hills to make it. My buddy on the 18 tx300 is doing insane climbs with his bike. But you cant beat a 250-300 two stroke on technical trails or hill climbs.

      I did the same thing went from a 17 250sxf to a 18 250xc and couldn't be happier

    I would use an aluminum skid plate/pipe guard for extreme enduro, unless you want to continuously repair and replace the pipe. Emperror or P-Tech are good examples.

    I had no idea Burt Reynolds raced! Does he still make movies? I think I remember a guy named Tarver that used to race too. How about telling is the tires you like to use for the different venues? Stock gearing? Race gas? Carb jetting etc, tubes, bibs, tubeless, we want to know.

      WFO Dave I knew that joke was coming...
      I have the JD jetting kit installed, it works very well. Just running no ethanol premium with maxima k2 at 40:1. I mentioned the Tubliss/nitromousse setup in the video. I’ve heard of drilling a mousse to simulate lower pressure in the rear tire, haven’t tried that yet.

    explain to me why a guy need to change to a Recluse Clutch? I feel that it is not needed.

    Hey nice video skills and riding too. I just got a 18 300xcw and still figuring out the jetting. Where did you end up with Jets? Using the manual or something else? Bike sounds jetted well.

      I had the same issues with my '17 300 xcw and being in Colorado i ride from 4,500' to 12,000. So I spent the $500 for a Lectron (Slavens) and have never looked back. As close to fuel injection as you can get.

    i have not tried a p3 or p4 carbon pipe guard because they dont make it for my bike but why not try

  • @randallzierden3643
    @randallzierden3643 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    What about wrap around hand guard.Thats a must have woods racing

    • @yorKoolmedia
      @yorKoolmedia  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Randall Zierden I’m not a fan of wrap around hand guards. I’ve been racing off road for a decade and I haven’t run wrap arounds for at least the past eight years. I prefer the flak shield style of hand guards.

    • @HybridEdits
      @HybridEdits 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      yorKoolmedia it also depends on where you ride too. I ride in Western NC and if you dont run wrap arounds you are asking for a broken hand. Every person i have seen run flag style has had their hand messed up or either broken when that random tree slams against your hands pancaking it between the bars. Nice build man. I just picked up a 2010 yz250 and its getting rebuilt now. My next bike purchase will most likely be a KTM 300 in a few years.

    2018 ! Is not a tpi ? Where is the oil tank ?

    • @yorKoolmedia
      @yorKoolmedia  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ride or Die 28# We do not have the 300 available with TPI in the states. It will probably be available as a 2019 model late this year.

    • @macarony2873
      @macarony2873 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yorKoolmedia ok! i'm from belgium 😉 i hope the tpi models is good and no problems whith the oil separated 🤔

    • @yorKoolmedia
      @yorKoolmedia  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ride or Die 28# I’ve heard from several people that have the 250 TPI and overall they’ve had positive reviews. Haven’t heard of any mechanical issues yet.

      some say that they dont get enough oil when starting the engine and because of that there is wear marks on the cylinder even at ~100h mark

  • @dansmolen1618

    Yeah,takes a good rider to survive this stuff,doesn't it! Bike matters too...

  • @lackgold25

    did anyone else noticed when he put the fuel on he put it on the reserve tank?

    • @yorKoolmedia
      @yorKoolmedia  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      BlackGold25 Well yeah...that’s what I always do. I want use the full tank of gas, I don’t need it running out when there’s still reserve left. It’s not a separate tank if that’s what you’re implying...it’s just a switch to use that last half gallon or however much it is.

    • @lackgold25

    do you run stock bars? I like the flex bar myself.

    • @yorKoolmedia
      @yorKoolmedia  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      jacob schumacher Yeah, I’m just running the stock bars for now. Luckily they are mounted much more solidly on the XC-W than the SX.

    Spent all that money on the bike with all the fancy parts and didn't even finish the race what's the point in even entering the extreme Enduro, when you need some training
