I’m a teacher in the public school system in the US, and I am appalled by how some fellow “teachers” try to indoctrinate children. I work incredibly hard to make sure my kids are prepared to be productive members of society, even if that means they stand against what I stand for. That isn’t my interest. I only want them to have the tools to succeed. That’s my job.
Our educational focus should be producing high school graduates who are ready to enter the workforce, apprenticeships, the military, or college. They need to think critically and be able to work in groups.

I am a veteran going to an american university. Had a meeting with the dean of students, and in the online appointment request it asked for your preferred pronouns and it was a required box. I put “your highness/majesty” and the DOS was really hesitant about asking me if I was serious. I regret not saying I was serious. I should have made them do it.

I home schooled my boys for the last few years of their high school experience. I was tired of the nonsense they were trying to force on them. My youngest just started college and my kids are normal.
I got my son taken out of a teacher's class as she was a racist against non black children. I saw her with my own eyes and went to the principal to have him removed from the class and was told she wished her children could have that teacher I offered to change classes with her child (non black as well). I ended up going to the President of the school board to get her removed from that school! This was back in the 80's!

I am deeply disappointed by what some of these teachers believe is professional. When I used to go to school teachers would not bring there personal business into the workplace. My sister in law left a high paying corporate job to pursue her dream of being a primary teacher for struggling children. She did another two years study and student teaching and landeda position in a school. months later she leaves said she cannot keep up with all the new rules about gender and other and doesn't agree with what she is required to teach. It is eye opening as she is a very driven person and does not give up easily.

I was in art college in Brisbane in 2016. We had a media class where the uber feminist lesbian had every class talking about how either men, or white people have destroyed media or stole everything from black people. In our script writing classes it wasn't spoken about but extra marks were given to any story related to gay or trans or black stories. In the game and animation classes I was once asked why my character I was modelling was a male and couldn't it be something else. A good amount of the girls projects were about being some form of gay. This was scary for me because these kids (I was 40) just did what the lecturers were guiding them towards. There was zero individualism or creativity or deviating from what the "norm" was. These are the people that are now out making our movies and games and TV. This is the reason that we see the same boring characters and "stories" coming out of places like Dithney and big studios. They are now full of people that weren't taught to think for themselves or do anything that the company isn't doing. The highlight of this time in college was of course when Trump won and there were mass meltdowns in classes.

I've taken part in a few Australian screenwriting initiatives over the last couple of years and it's shocking how storytelling and characterisation has taken a backseat to identity-politics and "schooling" an audience. The writers who placed the highest in these competitions wrote movie and tv pitches loaded with buzzwords/terms (patriarchy, LGBTQI, non-binary, gender fluid, pansexual, deadnaming, colonialism etc.) 9 out of 10 pitches that made the finals were an attempt to explicitly push a belief onto the audience instead of telling a cohesive and interesting story. I imagine the judges were sitting around patting themselves on the back for choosing such a "diverse" range of writers and projects while ignoring the fact that these stories will appeal to no one. Not even the communities they claim to be representing.
Not that long ago the SBS admissions board for content had its criteria revealed. It had a list of things that would go top the top of the pile and others that would most likely be binned without as much as a read. I saw her with my own eyes and went to the principal to have him removed from the class and was told she wished her children could have that teacher I offered to change classes with her child (non black as well). This is a great show! I am an American and this world is getting crazier! It's really more serious when this happens in our schools. I am deeply disappointed by what some of these teachers believe is professional. When I used to go to school teachers would not bring there personal business into the workplace. I didn't graduate that long ago I graduated in 2015. It is just insane to me. I'm all for freedom and being who you are bringing things like this in the classroom it's just not right in my opinion.

The problem is people are being manipulated into believing that puberty blockers and reassignment surgery is necessary and life-saving, that their child will die and suffer horribly if they don't. You would subject your child to heart surgery or cancer treatment if its do or die ,right? But this gender care is not 'do or die' , it's not necessary at all. There are a hundred other non-intrusive methods you can use to deal with a child's confusion and anxiety instead of cutting into them. That should be a last resort if it's a resort at all.
They know their kid isn’t going to die. They are using their children, living the latest fad/trend through them, feeling included, hip, one of the ‘cool’ progressive. And they are doing it knowingly at expense of their child’s physical emotional and mental well being. You see it all the time how they are being groomed by them. There was a mother I saw online the other day, who had a 1 yr old. The video was explaining how her son was really a girl because he seemed to respond more positively when she called him ‘she’ .along with liking the colour pink. I wish I was making that up but I’m not. These parents are disgusting and should be in prison and made sterile. They’re not being manipulated, they know exactly what they’re doing.

My sister in law left a high paying corporate job to pursue her dream of being a primary teacher for struggling children. She did another two years study and student teaching and landeda position in a school. months later she leaves said she cannot keep up with all the new rules about gender and other and doesn't agree with what she is required to teach. It is eye opening as she is a very driven person and does not give up easily.
Tell her to seek a teaching job in an independent school, kids today need every level-headed teacher they can find and there are struggling kids in every socio-economic bracket, I indeed was one of them once.

That's obviously the issue right there, too many teachers and our public education systems don't recognize a difference between education an indoctrination...it's why I suggest to anyone that a proper understanding of history is the most important...I'm still confused about how we got here
I did - I told my sons school that I would not accept a person as a teacher that was confused about their gender identity.

I was in art college in Brisbane in 2016. We had a media class where the uber feminist lesbian had every class talking about how either men, or white people have destroyed media or stole everything from black people. In our script writing classes it wasn't spoken about but extra marks were given to any story related to gay or trans or black stories. In the game and animation classes I was once asked why my character I was modelling was a male and couldn't it be something else. A good amount of the girls projects were about being some form of gay. This was scary for me because these kids (I was 40) just did what the lecturers were guiding them towards. There was zero individualism or creativity or deviating from what the "norm" was. These are the people that are now out making our movies and games and TV. This is the reason that we see the same boring characters and "stories" coming out of places like Dithney and big studios. They are now full of people that weren't taught to think for themselves or do anything that the company isn't doing.
The highlight of this time in college was of course when Trump won and there were mass meltdowns in classes.
You might not believe this but this is all coming and infiltrated in western society slowly from eastern powers. They will destroy the western society from inside without a war. Imagine how emotionally weak the new generations will be and how easy to do whatever you like with them. Many of the young men around me are like girls, soft and feminine. That is the plan

I've taken part in a few Australian screenwriting initiatives over the last couple of years and it's shocking how storytelling and characterisation has taken a backseat to identity-politics and "schooling" an audience. The writers who placed the highest in these competitions wrote movie and tv pitches loaded with buzzwords/terms (patriarchy, LGBTQI, non-binary, gender fluid, pansexual, deadnaming, colonialism etc.) 9 out of 10 pitches that made the finals were an attempt to explicitly push a belief onto the audience instead of telling a cohesive and interesting story. I imagine the judges were sitting around patting themselves on the back for choosing such a "diverse" range of writers and projects while ignoring the fact that these stories will appeal to no one. Not even the communities they claim to be representing.
Not that long ago the SBS admissions board for content had its criteria revealed. It had a list of things that would go top the top of the pile and others that would most likely be binned without as much as a read. This list basically said that if you write something and you are not a white straight man it will get made. I believe "minorities" need to have a chance, but not to the detriment of story telling and creativity.@@Punky_Brewski

I'm so glad I finished my degrees 20 years ago going to night school, I would hate to be an on-campus student today.
