@@magnafire1 That would be super fun to watch. U16 as pawns (50/50 girls & boys), U21 as rook and horse (left side males, right side females, opposite), Amateur Fighters as rooks (one female, one male). King will be some male pro, queen a female pro. So what's left is a human scale chess board where each person is standing on their respective squares, then we watch Hikaru vs Magnus Carlsen ordering them around. Would love to see Hikaru premove stuff with live humans. Would be fun to see how that would play out. Each person NEEDS to win the fight in order to take a piece or else both gets taken out. Oh, and the king can't move for 2 turns if they win the fight, if the king wins the fight both pieces remain at their spots. No piece has to fight if they willingly remove themselves out of the game when they gets taken. If a piece refuse to fight but is supposed to take another piece it's considered an illegal move. Pieces can tag out and let someone else do the fight for them within their respective values that's already been taken out of the game. Knowing your pieces wins the game, not where you move them. Fight to the death is encouraged, no weapons. (Rooks gets aluminum bats tho) Hitting other pieces or moving out of their squares auto-resigns for their team. However! Should a brawl break out the side has the most pieces in the 4 center squares after 2 minutes wins and a winner is determined. I don't think I need to type out which skin color the pieces needs to be, and they have to be naked.

Thanks for sharing Mr GothamChess. I use it regularly to "test" the temperature of the water... I have played chess since my dad taught me when I was 5 or 6. I am now 45, and I find myself always learning new techniques. Great channel. You have my respect.
😊
Ben Finegold somewhere: "Your favorite opening." (enthusiastically nods head)
Ahh I remember my Chesskid days. Every week, bam, new fried liver stuff by Master Benzoo.
(enthusiastically waves fist also) haha
RAWR
The most entertaining Chess presenter ever!
I'm really just here to say that I finally got a perfect fried liver game. My opponent resigned on move 9 because he hid on G8
10:13 "You're free to explore deeper."
Me: That's what she said.
Why did your mom said that?
I don't know ask your mom, afterall she said that. And ask her to take less money next time. I have more girls you know.😂
8:14 "and the queen is coming"
Me: thats also what he said
@@hiroshimako1016 0:00 "in this video i am going to show you one of the most dangrous moves in chess" thats what she said lol
18:39 "Gotham chess does not condone violence to opponents" hits different these days. Literally
Why?
"Gothamchess do not condone violence.......to opponent"
Hmmm, what is Levy trying to say.....
That there is situations where violence is needed, having a bat ready in your car to storm the chess club if you lose to hospitalize the guy is different. That's the type of violence he don't condone, I think...
he's trying to say that you can condone violence to your teammates
violence against yourself is ok
He just promotes gangster chess and the ufc.
"Rook e8 anyway"
"What ?? Why ???"
Istg I laughed so hard
Gotham, I am a big fan bro. I found your channel about 6 month ago and have been learning a lot. Went from 1250 to 1550. Queens gambit, dragon with sicilian and sometimes fried liver. Justed wanted to say thank you. Keep it up. You are a superstar!!!!
4:31 ah but you forget my surprising ability to blunder my pieces even when it seems improbable
Dude, 20 minutes flies by with you. Amazing work, you should be a chess teacher ;)
I've had trouble getting motivated to learn openings, and you are helping immensely!
He was a chess teacher before doing youtube
I think he's already a chess teacher by doing this video broski haha
Best demonstration and explanation of this opening moves. Highly Instructive.
Hey Gotham. Your uploads are very much appreciated. Won't be falling for fried liver again.
Go over the Nimzo-Larsen please. I'd like to expand my palette and I think this is an interesting opening to learn.
Big fan of the nimzo-larsen. Opponent always seems rattled
You're talking as if chess is some sort of fine dining
@john Will it is a fine dining.
I play it all the time
Nimzo Larsen isn't an opening. People who know chess call it b3
1:07 if black plays bishop you can play pawn d3 and the move the horse to g5 and if qween take horse on g5 you take qween with bishop on g5.
I was also thinking about that
i love the fried liver attack, specifically the variant
"The Fried liver attack: a Side of Peas Variation"
When white tries the fried liver or a scholar's mate i low key feel insulted.
It is arguably the best move(preferred by alot of engines) after 5.Nf6
My e4 defense is based on smothering the fried liver attack or any similar attack at f7 because so many players try this 'cheapo'. Insulted not so much, tired off it, yes.
Wayward attack?
@@absqrb I also find that insulting. To try cheap tricks is to look at your opponent like their and idiot.
I get that for scholar's mate, and I used to feel the same way about the fried liver. That was because I was underestimating the fried liver, though. It looks dubious but is actually quite solid for white.
I never leave comments on youtube videos but I feel I must today. Levi, you have a real gift for making informative yet entertaining videos. Thank you!
OH NO HE IS TEACHING THE TRAXLER
I sense a lot more people playing bishop takes now. :(
@@tobyhawkins yeah.. unfortunate, it was such a great way to punish 800s
@@fusion325 Or even 1500s. Tbh I'm surprised 800s know the fried liver.
I don't think the damage will be noticeable. I mean about 30 thousand will watch this about 5 will learn it and more than half of the times that position won't be reached.
OH NO
martin bot did pawn to H6 (anti-fried liver) defense first time I tried
1:26-->1:38-->3:30-->4:11
1:26-->1:38-->4:44
1:26-->5:23-->5:41 (easy and works for less smart opponent)
1:26-->5:23-->6:35
7:34
9:26-->9:49
9:26-->9:56
I remember being on the opposite side of the fried liver attack and being absolutely astounded after losing my queen so early to some kid at school
Edit: he walked away like a badass too
Thank you so much Levy for teaching me this, I just won a game in ten moves because I took his rook and then he blundered his queen after and he resigned, much appreciated 😊
I am watching this video because of one of your recent Frank videos where you mentioned the fried liver attack.
Thanks for your videos. They’re great.
7:20 "Look i'm doing my best"
Me: uses fried liver
Opponent (who knew traxler): so you have choosen death, huh?
Otaku Arts Take with the bishop, castle, and ur up a pawn.
@@NgaLe-ce4ky It's not that simple i think.
Literally first game after this went exactly like the both rooks + queen line you showed. Good stuff.
What a magical and glorious walk through/breakdown. Was very informative and easily digestible for my brain. Gothamchess this was a masterclass well done. Gonna come back and rewatch several times
Love the videos.
Only addition I would make is @10:07
After Kd6, you actually have Bf4+ which is forced mate in 15.
Granted, it might not be easy to foresee or memorise the sequence.
What’s the sequence
Huh
Levi, I need to give you a huge thank you. This video has led to me winning so many games.
Not because I’ve ever even tried the fried liver. But because this video has over 4 million views and EVERYONE tries it on me. Right before I proceed to absolutely dismantle them with the Traxler.
"7 minutes is a lot of dedication", my wife says this too
does your wife happens to know my wife?
@11:29 You do not have to play D5 and lose your rook because Qd4+ picks up the bishop and the knight
I don't get it, if you take the bishop he can still take the rook
@@Hi_how_r_u_ If he takes the rook white plays Bg4+ winning the Queen
But what if unicorn to f9 to paralyse the queen’s maids?
@@botastic1717 That’s true hummmmmm I didn’t see that🦄
@@Hi_how_r_u_ After Qd4+, whites only legal moves is Ke2, then black queen takes bishop on c4 with a check and white needs to reply by moving king or pushing e-pawn, and black then gobbles up the knight on f7. But Levy's pushing the D-pawn is better, because after Ke2 the light squared bishop skewers the queen through the king.
4:30white is losing a knight cuz at the start you sacraficed it, so if black defends proably areant u losing. wdym 90 percent of winning?
I love the disclaimer on violence against opponents 😂
19:56 mate in 4 will never be the same LOLOLOLOLOLOL
The ending is everything and it can be easy to remember these moves it the pressure of playing fast that makes us forget
Let’s start a thread of “Day x of telling Levy his daily uploads are appreciated”
“Who’s mans is this” *points at knight* 😂
18:57 Thanks for calling us amazing, you're amazing too :)
"If there's mate in 4 in the forest but it falls and no one hears it...does it make a sound?"
The analogy was good 😂 “if theres mate in 4 in the forest”
See i watch many videos of many channels, but this is the one which explains all main lines, and explains the concepr as well really good. And i love the fried liver, because you also cannot predict the voracious knights leaping around
Damn i watched this video too early. The sequel hasn't come out yet.
My main variation I like to go to in the Italian game is the Ponziani-Steinitz Gambit. Which can be deadly if you are trying to do this.
Gotham makes a video on fried liver and now my every opponent in chess.com is responding e4 with d5
You can play ICBM Gambit against d5
