Hi it looks hard to tap in that Rhythm. does it take time to get the Rhythm right while learning to tap? I like your tap videos. Thanks

hey vera, one thing that really helps to learn rhythms, especially in tap, is to not watch, but listen. at the end of the video anthony plays his part along with the piano - this is the part you want to close your eyes and repeat over and over until you know it, just like you know your favorite songs. once you become comfortable with how it sound and how the two parts interact, try singing it back along with the video, or tapping it out with even just your fingers. the steps should be the last thing to consider - even try doing the same rhythm once you have your shoes on with using just heels or toes. after you know the feel and texture, and "know" where each sound lands, begin to breakdown the footwork as he explains it slowly - it will make much more sense in this manner. enjoy your tap journey and the instruction of one of the best to do it and remember, you're playing the tap shoes :)
