I hate how Rein is like, PEAK tank design(that immovable wall that protects the team, makes plays, and punishes those who get close), but just like Heavy in TF2(the closest thing that game has to a similar role), he’s almost completely non-viable in high tier comp.
imagine if there were 9s/highlander in ow. games would go so long

Fr I usually play doomfist but one match the enemy was playing tank and asked if I played rein but I said no. Dude convinced me to go rein and it was actually one of the most fun matches ive ever had. At the end I said "Live with honor" and he replied back with "Die with glory" it was the manliest tank fight ive ever had. Dude said he respects a true man when they play rein. I felt so proud lmfao.

This is the least toxic overwatch gets, two men in a rein duel is the greatest show of honor and glory
It's the rule. If you see a Rein, you switch to Rein, greet each other, then get to swinging.
If i roll out and the tank is the same as me (doom vs doom) etc, i always fav first

God I miss this. The coordination, the reflexes, the speed and violence on a single target.
I won't say he should be meta, but he should at least be able to compete if a team holds him up

When the enemy tank goes Rein, I'll instantly choose Rein as well. It's literally the only chance I'll get to play him. I'm never turning that down.
Atleast in ranked yes otherwise playing him is just a throw right now. I don’t get why they won’t buff him. They buffed zarya when she was way better than him

@@jackiejackyjaqy...7219 they just buffed miora lol. She’s literally one of the better supports currently. Aspen has like an 80% winrate on her this season lol. So I refuse to accept that nonsense they buffed bastion and miora up to where they’re meta in top500 while they dominate the metal ranks. They just won’t do it for rein. They clearly have favorites
Rein is totally viable,just think outside the box and ALWAYS expect that no one will ever support you,this is how i win against any comp-pharahmercy
@@natedavis2944 they buffed moira as a compensatory buff for the season 9 changes as she doesn't benefit from any projectile buffs
They also buffed rein's swings, fire strike and pin
But they were again compensatory buffs since he doesn't benefit from projectile changes
Rein is still viable with the correct comp just very hard to pulloff otherwise that other dude playing rein wouldn't be in that high of a rank while playing rein
Rein players just cry too much
The triple kill after ult and then straight into lamp post is what I am here for

one change i think can help rein is make it to where the dps passive isnt as strong on him as it is on other tanks

There was one time I tried punching past a brig rally shield bash on doomfist. WILDEST interaction I've ever seen. I got stunned AND counterpinned, BUT SHE WENT RIGHT PASSED ME NO PROBLEM.

Been playing since OW1 and reached masters largely by watching your content and you inspired me to play Rein. Imo OW is most fun when Rein is playable. He's such a fair tank in terms of outplay potential but he's also strong when played well at least for awhile. I'm sad that the current state of the game doesn't allow him to shine.
I seem to remember a clip of Dafran saying that Flats is boosted by his 5 stack. Good to see Flats still able to dominate in the rein v rein.
Play til you lose is a phrase I wish more people lived by. Just yesterday I had three different winnable games thrown away by doomers.

I wonder if what would help rein is him being able to switch between hitting enemies and pushing allies with his charge. So he can flip around and get his medic or dps the fuck out of a bad situation. It doesn't help hes pure defense with his shield, yet his only other abilities is throwing a fireball and throwing himself at the enemies. His charge is iconic but hes not built to survive the aftermath it would be most used for

The biggest form of betrayal is when the enemy goes Rein and so I switch to rein too, then I kill them and they goes orisa, like buddy. come on.
I dont know why but if both teams have a rein the game is more enjoyable. So much funny stuff happens like double shatter block or mirror charge stun.

His kit feels like it was reworked to make him a clown. Foam Hammer, Playful Shove, intermittent light show, and his ultimate is Intermission.

@@Bro1212_it happens if you hit them with the hammer, it does extra damage there, you can occasionally get a kill with it if someone happens to be up in your face
