Hello kittens! It's been a looong time ^ ^" Lately it has been harder to post videos, because of lack of time and ideas :( However I decided it would be fun to document this little experiment I did! I've been wanting to make homemade charms and I finally found a way how. I will make a part 2 in a tutorial style to show you how to make your own too! Are the bubbles that appear in the resin hard to pop? And how long does it usually take to dry? I’m very new to Resin ^^’
To pop resin bubbles people usually hover a lighter or flame over the surface. My resin doesn't get too bubbly so I just skip over this step lol
It's best to leave resin to dry for a whole day, but pieces can take longer or shorter. I'd suggest finding a good resin tutorial here on TH-cam, there's plenty ^ ^

How did you prepare the resin ? Because I saw some people bring two types of resin and mix them together and then add it
There are different types of resin, but the one I used, called epoxy, has two parts that are mixed together. All resin kits usually come with instructions on how much of each part to mix so there are different ways to mix them ^ ^

Thank you for understanding ^ ^ I have heard of some cheaper alternatives, such as mod podge's dimensional magic. Other than that, I'm not sure :/

And here I thought making a charm would be harder lol thank you for this video! After you put the resin on top do you need to watch for bubbles or anything?
My resin doesn't bubble up much after settling so I didn't have to, but just in case you should hold a lighter over the surface to prevent bubbles ^ ^

Those were just notes about the problems I had with making the first charm. Some of them were resin bubbles, the picture curling, and not being able to make the hole for the keychain. Nothing too important ^ ^

Another thing you could do is use shrink plastic and coat it with resin
Yeah that's a great idea! Sadly shrink plastic has always been too expensive for me to try :(
Hi can I ask what kind of plastic you used before the resin?
I actually just covered the picture in tape and then poured the resin directly on top! No plastic needed :)

It was a tart mold! You can use any silicone surface though, it's just to make sure the resin doesn't stick!

What's your favorite idol, idol type and brand in Aikatsu?
Ah that's a hard one! I have so many favorites 😂 I'd have to say Kii, she's one of my fav idols. I love the Gothic type idols, I think they get some of the best songs! And brand is really hard, but I like Angely Sugar and all the brands from Aikatsu friends.

It's called resin! The type I used is called UV resin and dries from uv rays (they conme from the sun or are used for some lamps/flashlights).

Any kind that works for you! Some printers may print colors differently though, so keep that in mind ^ ^

I'm sorry I didn't list the materials 😥 All I used was resin for the actual charm! Other things I used were a printer, tape and a silicone mold. If you have any questions feel free to ask ^ ^
