Waterfall along Long Peak Trailhead in Rocky Mountain National Park

This marked my 4th time hiking at Rocky Mountain National Park.
My goal today was to hike up to Chasm Lake, unfortunately, 0.5 miles away, 2 snow fields impeded my progress.
I saw a lot today. Hikers with no poles or spikes, with spikes and no poles, with poles and spikes, and trail runners running up and down the Chasm Lake (including across the snow fields).
Most of the hikers slipped on the first snow field or like myself, didn't wish to risk our lives for a view.
I spoke with a few seasoned and experienced local hikers and they stated that if you wish to hike to the trail, wait until the middle of July because they won't be there.
My disclaimer for all hikers who wish to hike Chasm Lake, please wait until the middle of July. We are all a hiking family and I don't wish for anyone to get hurt 🙏🏽
Although I only hiked 7.5 miles of the 8-mile trailhead, I got to fight and like another day. I will avenge this hike as I have for any other trail that I've been able to finish.
Here's what I accomplished today. I hiked a total of 8 hours, 7.5 miles, a little over 24K steps.
