It's worth the money. The time you save makes it worth while

    Hi there,
I’m pretty new in the striping business, and I was wondering how you charged for parking lines and any stenciling you do?

Just curious what’s the measurements for the front and back hash marks? 4ft and 6 ft ?

Prior to using a laser setup did you chalk lines individually? I've been interested with how useful the auto layout feature is for anything other than road work/long line type work. It seems to only help production time if you have the laser setup as well.

Hi John, We mainly use the auto layout for all of our parking lot layouts. It measures the parking area, divides the space into the proper number of spaces and then marks the opening. Then you can chalk line each set of dots if you do not have a laser. Its more accurate and faster than a tape measure or a premarked tape. Some spaces are slightly larger than a nine foot space and some maybe slightly smaller. Every space is the same size. I have been using the auto layout for about 12 years and will only layout out with it. Anything with more than five parking spaces it gets used on. The autolayout was designed more for parking lots than roads, I have used it on 1000 car lot and it was accurate within a 1/8 inch.

linepainter I've heard that from a few guys in my area that have used it. I do a lot of work on Gracos (seen the setup on a few customer machines) and have worked with my dad in the industry since I was a kid. We're constantly trying to find ways to minimize our time onsite without compromising our overall quality. I've heard guys rave about the laser and autolayout setup and I'm sure it makes the layout easier, I just have a hard time believing line quality isnt compromised somehow during the process. This could very well be ignorance on my part having tested the auto layout before but never in an actual lot.

All I can say is you must believe in the machine and the technology to make it work. I have done several layouts with this setup recently. 100 parking spaces layout and painted in under 1 hour with two guys. We laid out 350 spaces and painted in less than two hours. I have heard from a lot of people who do not trust any machine and still use tape measures. Where are you located?

    Hi there,
I reached out to you several months ago regarding striping questions, but never pulled the trigger to start striping. I finally got the courage to pull the trigger and will be starting my journey starting the beginning of the year. I will sent you an email and hopefully you could help me with questions I may have for you😊 Have a happy new year man 😊
