I buried myself in church and poverty dealt with me. I was literally begging to survive. My only source of reasonable income was "supernatural provision" but im grateful for people like ID cabasa and Dr. eezee. Now i know better. My greatest take away from this video is learning to BALANCE EVERYTHING.

Dear Grace, I think the video already says it all. Go to church, serve in your local church but don't go broke in the name of "I'm committed to my local church". I left a church because the pastor claimed it was out of place for me to miss service because I went to work. I had to leave because it became too much and I also prayed about it and I was convinced in my spirit it was okay to leave. So just know how to balance everything. Don't focus on ministry that you forget there's a business part of life. I hope this helps you sis

I blame the church that gave this brother mic to speak. All these churches idolising celebrities, politicians and the whole lot because of money or recognition. They dont play christian songs in clubs there must be a reason why. Those places promote carnality and its secular artists and carnal christians that sing the songs venues like that need. Listening to this, I found sense but I doubt if it helps much. The idea of balance only looks like it'll lead us to another realm of extrimity. This only will give people 'nice' excuse to be arrogantly canal and build systems that will no longer edify the church.

I think we are now in the era where lack of knowledge is not a major problem anymore cause the knowledge is readily available for everyone to access. The main problem now is understanding the knowledge and accept the truth.
Many Christians don't understand the family they have been called into. They condemn in place of correcting. They forgot that our King, the King of kings didn't come to condemn but to save John 3:17. John 12:47.

The only thing i will say is this, when life hits every one, we all run to spiritual music not secular sounds. All ID Cabasa has said is true and important for people whose goal in music is to make money and be great. However, if the goal is to glorify Jesus, save souls and heal broken hearts ID may not be the best person to listen to. I agree with setting up structures to ensure gospel artists are paid well, however encouraging people to go secular because it offers better financial rewards is wrong. You cant serve two masters, let each artist decide the end goal of their music either to make money or to glorify Jesus. Mind you doing music to glorify Jesus is not a recipe for poverty. God bless us all.

You can glorify God in and through your music even if you are not a "worship artist" or a "gospel artist." People can be encouraged through your music and what you paint in your canvas. God can be found in things not considered "gospel." Have you heard J Martins - Oyoyo, for example? That song and others helped me one time at a stage in my life. We shouldn't criticise what we do not know or completely understand.. and not every artist's goal is to money.. Selah.

There's music which is not obviously religious but very positive. Bob Marley's music wasn't classed as gospel but he never hid the influence the Bible had on him. A lot of his songs encouraged people around the world. When Zimbabwe became independent, a member of government flew in personally to invite him to sing at their independence day celebration because his music inspired them when they were fighting for freedom. It has historically been secular artists who communicated important information about freedom struggles, health etc. Prince Nico Mbarga's lyrics could have easily come from the book of Proverbs. If God can use a donkey to convey a message, why not a secular artist?

I think a lot of the things he said could do with better communication.
His interpretation of 'Unequally yoked' is somewhat off, his definition of Secular too, I might be wrong though.
He's right about the Church not being a place where you can make money though, the church actually shouldn't be such a place. I've always maintained that because you're a Christian and also a musician doesn't mean you have to be Music minister, it's fine to be a secular artiste as long you don't misalign with the values of the Christian faith. Some of those who are gospel ministers today probably would have been better off being secular musicians but sometimes the Church makes people feel less of a Christian if you do secular. That's why you see some of them now trying to do Christian music the secular way, because they probably were never meant to be Music ministers in the first place. Everything in Christianity is prescribed, has to be in a certain way, we're not permitted to be 'Creative', but it's fine, not everyone is called to be so. Not all Israelites were levites and not all levites were called to be priests.
However, even if you're in the secular there should be a separation from unbelieving colleagues in that sphere, afterall even the Israelites, whether priests or not, were called to be separate from the world.
On speaking in tongues, he's right, congregational worship should for the most part be in an understandable language.
I think those who are anointed should be fine with not being known, and yes I know it's easier said, but take it up with God not me.
Summarily, I think a lot of what what he intended to say got lost in poor communication and wrong scriptural references, or at least I hope so.

With due respect sir, your interpretation of “do not be unequally yoked" as being “better than” isn’t scriptural. It’s rooted in 2 Corinthians 6:14. It refers to the concept of being in a relationship or partnership with someone who holds significantly different beliefs, values, or priorities.
In its biblical context, "unequally yoked" specifically warns against believers forming intimate relationships with non-believers. It suggests that such relationships can lead to spiritual conflict, moral compromise, and hinder one's ability to live according to their faith.

Am really shock that many of us did not really listen to what he was saying lines upon lines ……
One thing that the church is battling with is misplace identities, I.e We don’t really know who we are…
We are to shine as light among men by living like Jesus among men…
What is the diff btw secular n carnality?
You can serve two master, either you love God n hate d world(his ways) or love d world n hate Gods way….
We want to be called Christians but we want to be like the world, enjoys same privileges as d world …
Am pained seeing scriptures been fulfilled on us that are in the church in a negative way…bcos our ear is itching for wat we want to hear to give approval to our selfish n carnal thoughts…

There is nothing secular about the gospel. Is he playing with semantics or definitions?
This is a mix of too many things that are neither here nor there. This is also a lot of mental interpretation of the text of the Bible.
The gospel is a gift to a secular world to bring it out of its secularity. A simple look at the dictionary would have informed him of the meaning of secular. The message use of Famous in Genesis 12 is nothing new... the Bible is filled with men and women who were globally famous in their time and some till today.... not 1 of them needed to do anything secular as portrayed here.
The will of God is well outlined in the Bible... Scripture explains itself. Not individual explanations.
The light of the gospel has always found its expression across nations, cultures, and ideas. AND.... NO... unequal yoke is not being better than them....
True. You can be a child of God in your work life. That's your ministry.
It is well.... soon, men shall tell different versions of their personally developed scripture.

    • @godson479
      @godson479 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Pele, Mr. HOLY. When Jesus turned water to wine, was it a spiritual gathering or secular? When Jesus paid tax, was that spiritual or secular? Does it make it canal? You people claim to be more spiritual than the bible, yet you can exhibit the powers of the bible. How often do you preach the gospel? How many Muslims have you preached to in your life, since you are the "spiritual" one? Those who hardly do nothing spiritual are the ones first to define spirituality. No wonder he already said the church are always quick to judge.
Just learn and stop being sanctimonious. And if you don't want to learn, just keep quiet and stop revealing your ignorance.

    • @Iamhephziba
      @Iamhephziba 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      @godson479 Dear sir...
First off... its OK to be Holy... it is the gift of God's grace and 1st Peter 1:16 expressly commands it for all His children.
A simple look at the dictionary would help sir... the dictionary wasn't written by believers.
Jesus turning water into wine at a marriage, paying tax... doing any civic responsibility has been since creation... nothing new. Its like you saying cutting the grass in the frontage of my house is secular... that's not how words are structured sir....
No.... I'm not holier than the bible... I can show you from Genesis to Revelation how God's word has throughout eternity commanded us to be separate from this world, its ways, its wisdom and its destiny.
That's not saying I can't use technology or I shouldn't put on clothes or go to school... no sir, that's not the definition of secular sir.
Lastly sir... the Gospel is light in the darkness and Jesus is that darkness...
      Shalom sire

  • @goodnessokpoghobia6784
    @goodnessokpoghobia6784 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +23

Honestly speaking, the level of deception in this video is alarming, and people are already misled.
I say this with love sincerely.
It's sounds like our amiable Mr. Eezee that we love so much because of the good fruits he's been bearing in the body of Christ is about to feature the likes of Olamide and co with our beloved brother GUC and Judikay simply because of the money involved.
We totally agree that we need funds (too much money) to propagate the gospel of Christ to the world, especially as a gospel artist.
    But saying that:
(1). "Everybody is forming perfection in church, forming holy; everything na lamba" (scam).
Does it mean consecration and a holy living is a scam?
Only God knows what it means.
(2). "God is not contending with secular, but God is contending with canality."
Who is into secular music that is not canal? Is it Olamide or Teri G that he mentioned?
(3). "Smoking is a weight, not sin."
"Drinking is a weight, not sin."
Is this God's standard for a believer?
What else is not a sin?
(4). "For those of you that want to go into the secular, please don't be scared." Really?????
Is it the same secular that Chidimma just got saved from? Or the one that the church has lost Beyonce to?
(5). "Everything in the farm yard (church) is controlled."
"But if you go the jungle (secular world), there's no control.
Is that not how it has always been and the reason the church is laying every structure on the ground to pull them out?
(6). "You send christians to go and do music in the secular system, but the first person to judge them are christians."
Who is "you" in this context because christians only send people to the world to preach Christ and him crucified.?
Those statements are terrifying and were not necessary.
Please, money is good, but the love of it is the root of all evil.
Let no one bring the garbage from the world system into church cause God has a standard that stands sure.

Knowledge increases and ability to hear it from the sound of God. Nothing will God have to do with mammon and so GUC sat before him nodding ceaselessly and at what point did God decend so low that you want to strike a balance with the things of the world. If Satan rebel against The Most High God and was sent here, he develop sounds as that's the deepest means of convo in the Spirit, so you will send Believers unto such platform to give glory to God at the midst of Naked Girls, Smoking Shisha, adding Jesus in the lyrics and fanning acceptable before everyone. Do you know that those souls listening to you may miss eternity due to your well constructed message and their blood will be on your head. Cabassa can't give those who stands by God and not Religion a prescription to what to accept or not.

Let's be careful what we keep accepting into the church oh.
We were all here when people started the issue of your dressing does not matter, today we are complaining of nakedness in the church.
Watering things down does no good at all. Let's separate things, you cannot serve God and Mammon.
Let us be distinct, this marriage that we want to build with the world because of money will only affect the church greatly.
This man speaking is motivated by the world standard of success. God's agenda and things cannot be trivialise by man's wisdom.
Be careful oh, may God help us all. (God knows, I need His help)
YOU CAN BE SPIRITUAL, HOLY AND MAKE MONEY IF GOD PERMITS.
Making money is not the end goal, if you think it is, you will always compromise.
There was a Demas that forsook Paul and other Apostles because of the allures of this world. Because, he saw that the life Paul and others were living was not fitting (like he is explaining).
When we are conscious of God, the outer matters little. Because, He will address the other things.
Christianity is not philosophy, make we no turn to one. The life is no longer ours but His, so he determines how we spend it.
If God tells someone not to charge, so why not pray for God to tell you to charge before charging.
I don tire to type sef, shaaa, let us be wise the Devil want and needs us to be lukewarm.
Hot or cold is what God wants, so He will not spew us out.
    Bye guys.

Not only content can be secular my dear. The word secular simply means anything that has nothing to do with religion. Sweeping, sleeping, anything at all that's not talking about God. So TH-cam is also secular. By the way most people who created these apps we use were not christians. Christians hardly create anything at all all we do is argue if secular music is a sin. There's nothing wrong with being secular as long as you glorify God with anything you do. Being worldly and sinful is what is wrong.

Should a gospel minister be singing secular music.
Secondly, should we be doing it for money.
Thirdly, when you need financial increase, if you are honest, the father will bless you and increase you. One thing I do know is that no gospel singer should be stuck in a church because if you have a message from God, it needs to go viral and affect the world around you. Remember when Christ died, the disciples were scattered far and wilde.
