Good morning lovely teacher: Adams. As much as I listeng to you everyday lesson I still want to listen your class more and more. You are the best teacher I've never met in my whole life in my age: 77 years old.Thank you so much Adams.🎤🎙💚💓🤝💚❤
I have learned some only by myself Since my early Age but your SKILL's are so funny to reunderstand "INGLISZ" im Polish btw. THX -kids need teachers like You
It took me a long time to correctly answer someone's question on "do/would you mind ... if?". Good thing to learn was to see a native speaker's facial expression in assuming my answer after I became silent and didn't know what to say; this was not easy moment if he or she needs to sit down on a public bench or want to cut a waiting line for reasonable cause. Thanks for this info. 🕊️👍
Very Interesting, I really apricate that you had made these videos for non-natives, the personal question is I need to add more vocabulary in my daily life and also look at some writing professional emails, please advise. thank you
I remember, in English Together (Oxford) workbooks published in the late 2000th, there was only one example of responding to a tag question and it wasn't even on the rule section, but in one of the exercises which could easily be missed. Until this day, I wasn't sure how to respond to these questions xD
I am faizan i from kashmir Very interesting chapter I think apricate that you had made these videos I want to be a life i have very suffering In english language
Nice presentation. Could you please tell me the tag questions of: I as well as my friends am going there, .........? and Either her friends or she is doing this now, .....?
Well done Adam I like your lessons , and I can understand you very well but I still cannot speak i don't know why . bay the way Adam I like idioms with explanations I think it's more important to learn
Hello! Maybe you know what sentence is correct: “Ice cream costs …” or “The ice cream costs…” 🍦 Is it necessary to use “the”, if this ice cream is specific corn or we should not do it (uncountable noun)?
wow i thought i knew this one for sure but stayed w the lesson for adam's lessons are gems nmw and now i know i totally didn't know!😸🙈 i would def answer "yep, not a fan"(affirmative, answering the first part which i thought was the question itself whereas the other one, i thought, existed to make the question, that is an undercover statement, sound more familiar so as to ascertain if what one stated is correct) to a question "you don't like pizza, do u?' and simply "nope" to the "you do love pizza, don't you?"(as in "sorry, bud, this one is actually not my cup of tea but i know many ppl like it tho")🙈 i guess i am a bit disappointed by english being less consistent than i thought😸🙈maybe i need to c this first chapter again just to make sure i got it right 🙈
The questions about pizza are used to show, or let your friend know that you know her preference. The answers may be any. It's about politeness. This construction can be used to get closer to the person you like. Am not I right, Adam?
Hi, Adam. I hope this humble comment finds you well. I'm sorry to say this but I think you're mistaken when you said that there is no difference in meaning when it comes to the polarity of the tag question. In the first example you use, that's (You like pizza, don't you? / You don't like pizza, do you?). In fact, the meaning and interpretation of both questions depend on the context. The first sentence with the negative tag question means that the one asking the question is surprised because the other person seems to have liked pizza before but he/she has refused to eat pizza at the time. While in the second sentence with the positive tag question, it seems that the other person does not usually like pizza but, for some reason, he/she suddenly likes it and wants to eat. So, the whole thing depends on the context. I hope you got my point and elaborate on this explanation with your opinion. Thanks in advance.
Hello, I'm Sevval. I've been following you for a long time. I was living in Kahramanmaraş. There was an earthquake in our city. We had to leave our home, our city. All my books are gone. I did not receive any of my books. I have been following you for a long time. I agree with your lectures. Can you give me English Book support or pdf? I want to start training again. Thanks in advance. have a nice day.
Good afternoon sir ☺️☺️🌄🌄 watching from Philippines . I love tag questions ⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️ I'm a new subscriber I love this channel and I enjoy watching . Thanks 👍👍 that's the way and break a leg 🦵🦵🦵 for more videos . I hope you're having a great day or maybe 🤔🤔🤔🤔 night 😂😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤
The “You like pizza” and the “You don’t like pizza” examples are also based off assumptions. So yes the basic answer is yes or no. But the context is someone knowing you and asking “Hey I heard you like pizza, but seems that you don’t “
When I started to study e. it was strange for me to hear "I do not..." because I would say "I don't", because "I do" is positive," not" is negative and when it was together it was strange
😢 I would like to share with you some thoughts on this tricky question video. I find it helpful to understand the tricky question by understanding the point that the person is trying to get at. For example if the person ask me we are going to the bar are you in? I think what the person is trying to say is that we are going to the bar are you coming along or not. so the person answering the question would say that I would like to come along or no I’m sorry I’m busy with something else. I think I like the questions it’s not real it’s a it’s a little bit tricky because it’s a little bit incomplete, but understanding the purpose or the point that the person is trying to make. What do you think?
