Hey EIS Team, don't worry about not producing video's as quickly as some may like to see. I feel fortunate that you share all that you do. I enjoy watching the retro fit project and fishing videos. People need to understand you guys have a lot going on and a lot of irons in the fire. You are a great family, do not sweat the little stuff! As the other catch up videos come out, I'll be sure to watch those. Thanks for sharing your lives with us.
I just love that Matt & family show us all the aspects of life on the water. It's not as easy just shooting the fishing videos. But l do get a little antsy wanting to go fishing with them. Lol 🌴🌹
Great Video. I had no idea how you get the boat on dry dock. Congratulations to the entire family on a successful dry docking. I look forward to more videos
Awesome job! Fun to watch a Kodiak family exist and share! I lived there 33yrs ago, I welded for Glen at Arc n Spark. Thank you for posting all your family concerns and adventures!
Your detailed explanation of your work followed by your execution make this project so much more meaningful. I have thoroughly enjoyed each of the steps. It has made me feel like a part of your profession and like a distant cousin to you all. I really anticipate your films. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Thank you for all you show we realy enjoy and fun to see most people don't have any idea what you guys took on with this boat!!! Sure will have alot of sweet equitie in this one! You will know it's done wright!! Thank you for sharing ❤️
I miss your weekly videos but I do understand. Thank you for taking us along when you do have videos. This video was fun because it involved the entire family. Good luck and MERRY CHRISTMAS!
That was fun to watch Like # 351 I wondered when that would get back on to the dry dock, so was not expecting the lift out completely. A nice surprise Cheers 🍻 🇨🇦
@@EISAlaska I remember you talking briefly about the Stern when it was on the grid, right before you removed the prop. It looks huge in the dock, beside the other vessels. Loved this video, because my dad and his friend Slade, lifted Slade's vessel out of the water to do a hull paint, and I never got to see the process. Honestly was nervous for you guys when they started the lift and you were both still on lol
What amazes me is how that rig maintains it's shape and doesn't collapse with only one connecting piece ide to side. Must be a lot loads on the cross bar, but now she's up on the dry, take care guys & happy holidays to all of y'all up there.
OBTW...Good luck getting that 5200 off, when the label says permanent it means it! Probably the strongest sealant out there, said to have 700 PSI tensile. Sometimes you can get some synthetic fish line under it and saw back and forth. Good luck! On the other hand, I feel bad that you have to keep all the yellow-eyed rockfish for personal consumption. They are probably the best white meat swimming the deep! Good luck and have a great Christmas!
Holy shit!! I held my breath for so long! Made me a nerves wreck. I know the guys in the boatyard know their stuff, but come on. What if a strap break? what if they turn the lift the wrong way! Phew!! That was intense!
Haha! Yeah, I was more nervous leaving the harbor and getting the boat into the slot. The yard guys are pros, I felt weird watching them do all the work while we were up on the bow watching.
WooHoo!! So tell us guys how was your almost Peter Pan " Second star to the right and straight on till morning" moment? :) Looked pretty fun to me! Great to see you all!!
Oh the memories, used to be known as TT Fullers boat yard. TT and partner Walt Muller (Kodiaks Mortician) started this yard. Walt had a heart attack and died so TT and Fern took it over. I watched Walt lifting the first boat but sorry can't remember it's name. Tommy Anderson and I (Marine Welding) did alot of work down there in the early days.
Quit fooling around at the dock and let's get fishing! Just kidding, I know it's much better for everyone that you take care to keep the boat in tip top shape!! I noticed that Matt looks like pop's & Tristian takes a chip off Mom. Is it just two boys with no sister?? Oh, before I forget, Have a very beautiful and safe Christmas & New Years. 🌴🌹
I know it's hard editing all these videos and as a subscriber I appreciate everything yall do ,so thanks 😊 . Just a idea 💡 and I'm sure yall are going to get plenty but maybe 🤔 take all the videos yall have and take parts of each one to make like a condensed part 1 and part 2 voice over videos 📹 explaining what yall have done up to this point it would get us all caught up and save yall time too. Just a idea 💡 but again thanks for another great video 📹
I have to go back and watch some of the videos. Work/School has made for lack of video watching! I did want ask about how the Crab fishing has affected you all if at all.
Heya, Charles! Hope ya enjoy the catchup. The Bristol Bay closures haven’t effected our quota here, however there may be more effort in the upcoming season.
I was wondering how the shore crew would move Isle to it's spot. I think that's kool, it just moves on tires. LoL was l really that dense? Yep, didn't know it had wheels. Very interesting to say the least all I had to do was keep watching. How long will it be in the yard?
Will you guys be doing any more salmon seineing in the future? I watched the old videos and was wondering if you are interested in doing that in the future.
We’d like to Lyn! The Fish Tale was just a bit too small to do it anymore. Not sure we’ll gear it yet for next year but the Emerald Isle will seine someday.
@@EISAlaska Thank you for your response. I will be looking forward to a future viewing of you seineing. Love your videos ! Stay safe and Merry Christmas and health wealth in the new year!

How’s the old fish tale holding up after 6 months from being dry docked for service? She looks great however I did notice what looked like a patch on the starboard side about mid way..
Hi Ray. The Emerald Isle was in drydock. She went back in the water last January (our videos lag a bit). During her stay on the hard we did a lot of work, including plugging 7 old thru hull and transducer holes, repositioning the keel cooler for the genset, adding a 3" seacock and of course installing the stuffing box, cutlass bearing, tailshaft and prop.

The last thing the fish see before coming aboard... looking good men ...Fine looking working boat
Thank you, EIS Alaska The camera work was awesome, the scenery was awesome, you guys live a very beautiful life up there. I have fun tagging along.

Amazing and wonderful for me. I've been in boat yards but never witness a lift. Thanks again for sharing.

An exciting day. Loved the multiple camera work. On to the next video. Still catching up.
amazing hull, seeing it next to the other vessels. steep and deep!
She sure is! We’re used to shallow draft boats here in Kodiak, had a couple lookie louies while we were being pulled out.

Thanks Gold! Yep the scope of work was too much to attempt on the grid. Had some stern tube work to do as well as thru-hulls to put in.

Sure have, Toni! Cant wait to wrap up the project and get her out fishing!

Are those leech plates you have metal strapped to the shaft cover? The corode away before the plate does?
Great video room a great family I watch all your videos thanks guys an lady
Yep, zinc anodes are sacrificial metals which will corrode before our important parts.
Did you pull the boat just to install the driveshaft?
Need a Hollywood agent!!
What’s the length of your new vessel guys?
Hi, Michael. Its 48’ and 14’ wide. Musser built.
THANKS GUYS!
Thank you!
How did you get the wheel and the shaft out? Pull it and put a plug in while in the water with a driver? What hull is that again? Thanks
