Yeah getting facial animations right is quite challenging and also took me a while to figure out.
I was planning to buy it, but since there is a lack of production in tutorials for newer releases of ue5.1 I will not be spending money to work with outdated tutorials like this one as I couldn't move the bones in the t pose phase.

By the way. Do you know how to convert Mixamo body anims to Metahuman UE 5.x ? Most videos are out of date on youtube.
I haven't touched mixamo in a while, but most of the principles in this video will carry over and I think you also should be able to get mixamo animations to work following these steps.
Only the bone names will differ a bit.
This tutorial is great. I just have a question. Currently, we need to apply more than 4,000 of these animations. Is there a way to do this process all at once in macro format?
You could probably write an editor plugin for UE or extend the editor functionality with Python to achieve that.
It's a whole can of worms to open up though.

I haven't tried it, but I believe you probably can!
All the live link nodes in the anim blueprint of the face are untouched and should still function.

would you be able to tell me how to create as an animation compilation instead of it executing a single animation attrited to several? a few things like she walks she stops smokes a cigarette then leaves or something i can do a chain with rig but i want to know if it is possible to add several animations instead of repeating a single one in a loop
So, I'm curious. DeepMotion now has a UE5 model in their asset list. How does this change the process?
Also, is there a reason a template for this couldn't be provided by DeepMotion? Wouldn't the process be the same for every MetaHuman?

Over the last year or so I actually doubled down on 2D and 2D/3D hybrid games, so I haven't had to worry about 3D animations for a while!

why am i missing my anim file when importing fbx?
If the anim file doesn't show up it means that something couldn't be processed and imported properly.

There is no more root when importing as of feb/24. The video does not achieve anything because the Deep motion skeleton has changed.
