Massey Ferguson 4707 with right side brake not working, and the repair. massey 4707, 4708, 4709 and 4710 rear brake repair. #farming #tractor #brakes #massey ferguson
Hey, just wondering if it ended up being a stuck brake piston? My massey has a sticking rear brake as well and the dealers around here say they have never heard of this problem. Great videos btw!
@@fcfarms2945 I'd wait till the warranty is out so the dealer can never hold it against you and turn you away. Like my diesel I didn't wait but with the tractor it can be very costly atleast with a truck I can find a local shop to do it. Your limited with tractor stuff. Better safe than sorry
Yes take the 3 screws out that hold the top cover, back the jam nut off a little and tighten the adjustment nut down. I would press the the brakes and see if feel even before I out the cover back on.
Thanks for helping me fix my tractor.
Your very welcome. Not sure how I did, but glad I could help.
@fcfarms2945 made the content to show a common problem.
Interested in this model so nice hearing about any issues it has. Thanks
It is a really good tractor though, have enjoyed using it.

It was, the brake got out of adjustment and piston cocked in bore and stuck
Thanks. Finding out mine is stuck too the same way, Looks like I'm gonna need to do the same, disassemble and overhaul it.
you can make that tractor 100hp with aftermarket tuning if you wanted to.
Yes there is a few companies that offer tuners to increase hp. I haven't decided if I'm going to do it now or wait till out of warranty.

Can you adjust the jamb nut by just removing the black cover?
Yes just remove the dome cover and tighten the nut down to adjust the brakes up.
Let me know if that helps, thanks for commenting.
@@fcfarms2945 will do.
