We’re at day 50 of quarantine and we’re in day 67 of social distance....thank you for keep me company and forget about how much I miss my loved ones. I can’t wait to see them on the 4th of May. We have the permission to reunite to our families or parents, with the safe distance, we won’t be able to hug but still it’s the first good thing after long time. Stay safe xx

@@tnbatton from next Monday, we can finally leave the house without limitations! so far, we didn't even have permission to take a walk a day , only groceries once a week. The shops start to open slowly, but at least we start to get back to work!!!

Tip for the custard cream: if you make it with your milk still hot, try pouring a few spoonfuls of the milk into the eggs before pouring the eggs back into the milk pan! It warms the egg up and keeps it from turning into scrambled

To stop eggs from curdling in a pastry cream when the milk is hot, you can take a cup of the hot milk and whisk it into the eggs, whisking constantly while you stream it in and then pouring the egg mixture back into the milk/cream on the stove. It’s called tempering your eggs.

Anna you need to check out a TH-cam channel called French Guy Cooking. It’s a Parisian guy called Alex and he does french dishes made easy but also all sorts of experiments to come up with the ‘perfect’ recipe for stuff like bread, croissants, meatballs etc. I’ve only just discovered him recently but he’s SO charismatic and fun to watch! From one Bon Appetit addict to another I’d highly recommend him 😊

I love and adore him. So funny yet seriously committed to making the “best”....whatever he is obsessed with!! I am just like that too, I made different dishes from my favourite Marion’s Kitchen cooking videos every day for weeks. Every recipe was amazing....but it took my husband pointing it out to me that I had fallen down the foodie rabbit hole and an “intervention” for me to stop. I find that Alex does the same thing. Its been an AnnaEdit week for me. I made your cookies (named it AnnaEdit Cookies on my recipe app lol) I order Gel Kit from Amazon. I been doing a quick one color eye look daily aka AnnaEdit vibe. Discovered the James Hoffmann utube channel (who knew there is so MUCH to learn about coffee) And I have read 4 books (romance) I love my kindle. And I been participated in The Edit on FB! Sooooooo yep thats it. BTW I think of your every time I brush by BUSHY eyebrows hahaha good thing thick is back in style lol

Anna, I also have this lamp, so to speed things up I do 4 fingers on my left hand and my thumb on my right hand (and then other way around obv), this way I can fit 5 fingers at the same time under the light haha

Loved this vlog. I followed your recipe to the letter but not sure what happened. I literally had so much batter left after the 10 that I baked that I froze enough to make another 15 at some point. They turned out divine, so now am good to go with the rest split into 2 freezer bags 😂. Just not sure what happened 🤷🏻♀️x

That custard reminds me of my FAVORITE Thanksgiving dessert - Buttermilk Pie. Very American Southern recipe. You should totally try making that one, Anna! Anna cooks American 😂🇺🇸
