I Have this Chevy 5500 chassis under under my Nexus Class c motorhome...I love this chassis..my motorhome is 30ft and I get 14 not towing and 12 -12.5 towing 10k lbs behind it..the power is AWESOME...as you mentioned on a earlier video the ride sucked so I changed out the shocks to Koni's and wow what a difference..great set up for me
JB!! If possible, hit up the International dealership and spec a HV507 4x4 @ 25999lbs (under CDL) w/ the Cummins 9 liter. Compare that bad boy w/ other class 5-7 options and pricing. Take a look at what real axles, transfer cases, and brakes look like! Thank You Sir!!
I got 1500 miles on my leftover 2023 4500 with the same monroe bed and cab mounts, 1LT interior plus.. and the price was right :) first thing i did was update the HMI to IO6... second was change the inner duals to matching alcoa dura brites and the third thing was lift the front 3,5 and rear 4"... On deck is to install the Katskinz leather and finish the 18,000 Winch mount installation and add the factory Tcase skidplate... gets way better mileage than my 16 denali HD gasser and 6L90 Crap trans that shit the TCC at 55,000. Rides way better too... I sill have a GMC too a 72 c5500 day cab Dually napco 4x4 conversion running an 8v71 Detroit and RTOO 9513 and Rockwell T1137 OD airshift Tcase... and NO Lift with 44" rubber 11R22.5's
LTZ for 2025 and new L5P updates will be GREAT
Go to the international dealer and review the CV the sister truck to this
GM should be embarrassed to still put out this awful interior and this is from a GM homer
JB what kind of price for this truck? Thanks!
What's the cost for the cab air ride set up? $$$
You always drive with no fuel omg 😂anyways lol suspension fun looking truck
What do you mean by "true" allison?
Means it’s made by Allison, the GM 2500/3500 make their own transmission that they get the “stamp of approval” from Allison as of 2020
10 speed Alison isn't made by Alison. It's made by GM and approved by Alison for tuning
Truck configuration from 2014 That's a joke from Chevy
Exactly, 2014-2019 generation tow mirrors and interior just looks boring as hell
Truck is way out dated
That is true, this cab design dates back to the previous third gen Silverado (2014-2019). Now with that being said, these Silverado 4500/5500/6500 models technically only date back to 2019 (the first year these came to market).
GM hasn't been serious in the MD segment for quite some time now, the last proper MD truck they built was the Kodiak which ended production in 2009. Ten years later GM re-entered the segement with these Silverado MD trucks, which were co-developed with International/Navistar. GM cab and engine, International chassis, along with an Allison transmission.
