I watched this 15 minutes after it dropped and my reaction was pretty much like Anitas without the fan ( I must get one) The boys look AMAZING , Jimin's dancing is next level. Jin just awwwwwww. I have a Vmin bias so this almost killed me and I refuse to allow kookie to bias wreck me I'm too old and he's too young so be needs to get back into his own lane. RM, Suga and J-hope just .... just. Oh also, in one of their recent interviews Namjoon revealed that they originally planned to make MOTS 7 two separate albums - Shadow and Ego (haha so Armys were not really clowns 😂) and people are saying that Black Swan might have been the title track for the album Shadow then, which I just find pretty interesting ^^
I think one can really see how MOTS 7 could be separated into 2 different albums since you also pointed out in your album reaction how the songs of the album progress from a darker to a brighter, more hopeful sound ^^

Black Swan came for BS&T’s neck holy shit, this MV is by far my favorite hands down. BTS visuals did not come to play and I honestly hope their stylists get a raise bc they deserve that shit.

Before I start my (probably quite long) comment I just want to say that I'm so happy "Moon" is one of your top 5s from the album. Moon is doing really great on the charts and I'm so proud of and happy for Seokjin, he deserves all of the attention for that beautiful and cute masterpiece! 💜
Yeah and this video---I was attacked by so many things, I don't even know where to start. First of all, that Sope moment. We've seen Yoongi looking at Hoseok during that moment of the choreo many times and I ALWAYS wondered if and how Hobi would look back at him, and now I know and I'm not okay... Sope will be the death of me. Also NAMJOON.🔥 I'm usually not a pauser when I watch something for the first time, I like to watch it in one go and then go back for the details, but I paused at Joon's scene with his big ass hoop earrings and literally watched it thrice before continuing.
I also freaked out about Jikook in corsets. That was one of my favorite parts of the photo shoot and I feel spoiled that I got it in MV form now too.
There are several theories floating around that Jimin is dying at the end, because his performance was perfect and he got his wings (just like the black swan movie with natalie portman). It's also questioned who the shadows in the background of the different shots are. The respective members? Or another member? People are also confused over if Jungkook watches his own shadow disappear at the end or if he watches Jimin die. Because he is looking down from the balcony at the stage were Jimin was dancing. Some people also think he might watch Jimin turn into a literal swan. Some also compare the way the shadow crouches down with the way Jungkook crouches down in the Fake Love MV, where he picks up the sand from the ground. Many theories, many questions, no answers in sight... I love it 😂
The shots in this MV were so interesting! The one from beneath Tae (which killed me too. it put me right where I belong.. beneath him 😂), the shot of Hoseok which made his legs seem super long!, and the way they filmed several of Jimin's dance parts... Oh and the MV was shot in the Los Angeles Theater! The mirror scene with Seokjin was apparently shot in an area in front of the women's restroom or something.

I don't know if you've seen the theory going around about hobi being some kind of villain in these latest mvs, but I was on the fence about it til seeing this one! Feels like his shots are definitely shot/lit in a more sinister way.... I'm into it though lmao
I hadnt noticed those stairs looking mid-reno. Maybe part of this gilded, ornate, place being 'stripped bare' could be kinda symbolic of them baring a vulnerable side of themselves, beneath the persona. or im reaching!

It doesn't matter what BTS does next, this is BTS' peak for me. I could see another 100 MVs they release, and nothing is even going to hold a spark next to this one. Everything they do from now on is going to pale in comparison for me. Swan Lake has been my favorite ballet for 2 decades; combined with the beautiful theatre setting, the costumes, the contemporary and balletic dancing, and the stunning black wings, this MV is going to be impossible for them to beat.
This video was a colossal treat to us all! I mean how beautiful is it? How amazing do they all look?

I felt attacked by all of them. Yoongi always gets me as my bias but he looked so good omg. And Hobi wow....damn, I think Sope might kill me. RM's hair I really love the combed back sides as it reminds me of his sides/undercut he use to have which I always loved on him. I hear a lot of people say they are amazed by his looks in person as he looks way better so I can't even imagine. That and him and Tae have a beautiful skin tone irl. As for Namjoon being highlighted only briefly in the video ...whoa on those moments thou ...okay back to what was going to write but got distracted with my thoughts as I was writing...the true highlight of Namjoon is he is one of the main writers of this song. He even helped with directing. This was info released back with "Black Swan" first came out. Namjoon spoke about what this song meant to him as he wrote the lyrics. So you could in a way see this as a masterpiece by him. The MV was one continuous highlight of his inner self.

In my opinion, Jimin was the shadow. He was the one dancing behind Yoongi and over Namjoon. And then he finally uh "dies" behind Jungkook. He's the swan after all, he gave the performance of his life and now it's over... idk that's just me maybe it's JK's shadow
