I can’t put in to words how this video makes me feel, we came to Australia for a holiday the first time in 2003, our first trip to Sydney we got the ferry from Paramatta down the river, I was young at the time so I didn’t really take it all in, but watching this with the music it’s extremely moving, thankyou for making this.
Making this film gave me a whole new perspective on this waterway. It's spirit definitely travels with me now. I'm so pleased you were able to reconnect with both the river and your own history.
I am so pleased you enjoyed. It was humbling to spend such a blink of an eye of time filming beside a waterway that has flowed for so long. May we custodians of the present nurture and respect the river for its future health.
Really amazing and impressive video, could you share with me how to get the authorisation from CASA to fly in so many "non-fly" zone in Syd, such as harbour bridge, parramatta?
Fan, I'm very glad you enjoyed the film. Regarding your question unfortunately I can only refer you to the CASA website to find all the information etc.
Thanks so much for taking the time to comment and of course watch. Labelling locations is an interesting point I've struggled with. I do try to minimise any interruption to the visual journey throughout the interconnecting scenes of my films. My primary goal is to allow the viewer to immerse themselves in the natural beauty for a little while. However, this being said on some of my work - Parramatta River and Pittwater and Northern Beaches - I have included a small amount of text at the beginning of scenes to help the viewer understand the journey. I would value your perspective on if you think that kind of sized text and frequency in those films is sufficient and not too interruptive and something that should be applied across all of my work ? As a side note, in the TH-cam description I always detail the locations and the names of the composers and their work(s). If you have time to reply I'll be very interested to read your thoughts.
Thanks so much for the support. Fortunately this was made for love of the river and not for the views :) My hope is that by people viewing this film they'll have a improved appreciation for the waterway and protect and treasure it.

Amazing!
This river system has many beautiful places. It's well worth a visit.

Love your videos, would be even more enjoyable if you added the locations so we could understand where you’re filming… Thanks

This should have way more views for the quality. Beautiful shots.
Maybe it's because of the music that there is not a lot of views
