@@christofix Yah I enjoy seeing your helpful creations. It's something I need to make right away. I'm building a tapering jig and these are just the kind of clamps I need.
I like both of the clamps Chris as I think they both have their own use. The only thing I might do is put the knob on with the tee nut on top so it is always pulling into the knob. But that is just me and not meaning to be picky. Maybe I am missing something. What you have made looks great. Gary
That is very smart of you Gary. You are totaly right! I had never tought about it! Well seen my friend and thank you so much for the possitive feedback! I like it!
Was exactly looking for this. And after watching a dozen or so of other videos I came to the conclusion (not for the first time): Yours are the best ones :) Thanks for sharing!
Great project as always Christophe! For me to saw safely, I will often do a dry run with the blade out of the way, to make sure I know where to place my hands and make sure they won't come into contact with the blade. Then I pay attention when cutting and use push sticks anytime the blade is close to my hands.
Some smooth compass moves right there and that table saw dowel jig looks great! I like to use my designs to keep safe on the table saw... I avoid cutting small pieces if possible (but not always avoidable.)
Thank you so much for those kind words my friend. I also try to avoid it but sometimes I have to. Then these clamps are very handy.

yesterday I was observing these clips on the site, thinking of doing after creating my router table... Congratulations on the project, we're on the same path.
Thanks for the vote Gary. The knob jig is working from the beginning. I have used it for many projects. I had never tought I would use it so much. It is one of my best jigs.
Nicely done on both versions of the hold down. I find the timing of this show to be perfect as my scheduled show this coming Friday is the exact same project. My hold down clamps are a little larger and much more simple than your versions but I found some humour in the fact that we were on the same wavelength. Great show subject and really well presented. Nicely done.
Great design and execution on these! For saw safety my favorite tool by far is the GRRRIPER push block, it is so versatile and makes me feel much better about using a table saw.
Thanks, man. That's actually a good question! I prefer the wider one because it is more stable. But if I need to clamp smaller parts, I use the small one.
The second one looks easier to build. In answer to your question about what do I do on the table saw for safety, #1 is the guard stays on all the time. I designed my crosscut sled with clearance for the guard and continue to find work arounds for the other cuts that most would think you can't do with the guard. Draw back is the Dado blade, any suggestions for that? I chewed up 3 fingers on my left hand a couple of years ago and my wife threatened to cut off the chord or sell the saw if I ever take a cut with it off.
OMG 3 fingers, that's bad! I can understand your wife's concern. But I can also understand that once you've done woodworking it's impossible to stop. Thank you for your message. I don't have a solution for the dado blades, because we are not allowed to use dado blades here in Belgium. Regards Christophe
Hallo, i found you by DIY Thosa, these Clamps are very nice, the first Model i like more :) . at 2:04 is a very cool Idea, to make Roundwood. i like this construktion. Sorry for my bad English) like and subscribed :) Greets Ivo
Hello and welcome my new friend! I'm glad you like it . There is a video on my channel where you can see how i made the jig to make the dowels. Don't worry about your englisch my friend, mine isn't perfect too, but as long we understand eachother it is ok. Where are you from?
Nice project, I wouldn't have to redesign my crosscut sled to make these work, but still a cool idea. I personally favor a couple of push sticks, my hand never gets within 10 inches of the blade. If I'm cutting small pieces I will try to use a price of too hold the pieces down. Overall a pretty ordinary solution, but still effective.
Willkommen in meinem Kanal, mein neuer Freund.
OMG! Yet another incredible video! Great clamps. As your friend, I am very concerned about you. You have built so many jigs and I am worried all that wood is a fire hazard. Because I dont want your house to catch fire, I want you to send me all of your jigs. LOL!
