Going to first time parent classes and hospital tours and for sure being on the young side in “dad settings” definitely made me feel out of place at first, and you start to think about the way you dress and all. Hey Eddie, I really enjoyed this video. I am a 68 year-old college professor with five children who has been collecting sneakers for more than 50 years. My kids are now mostly in their 30s with only one still in her late 20s. I have loved sneakers since high school, and one of the fun things we did as a family would be go to cool places to get kicks like Nike town, or 125th St. in Harlem in 2004, or cool sneaker malls in South Central Los Angeles. I can buy more sneakers now Than I could when they were young, but it was still a lot of fun to include them in dad‘s quirky hobby for their lives growing up. When my only daughter who is the 28 year-old came home for Christmas from Brooklyn this year, one of the things she wanted to do was go sneaker shopping with dad Because she is really beat up the shoes. I got her a year ago walking around the streets of New York. My kids have learned a lot because what they were exposed to through my hobby of sneaker collecting. Also, I’ve gotten to give advice to several of the sneaker companies And included them in many business trips as they were growing up. In fact, my oldest son is now well known Supply Chain management professor just like me. A lot of of that has to do with me, taking the kids with me and including them in my life, including the sneaker stuff.Congratulations on the new one. It is the best part of life and sometimes the hardest.

First of all congrats! Becoming a dad has been amazing. I've got two now. With two kids, I've definitely set myself a monthly budget for sneakers. If I don't snag something new, that budget rolls over to the next month. Or I'll head to ebay for some steals from years past. The other thing I want to note is that my style has changed. I find myself rocking more comfy sneakers like Saucony and New Balance over retro Jordans these days because of all the time I spend with my kids at playgrounds. Dad of a 16 month old boy here. Best decision of our lives to have a child. It made me grow up in ways I didn’t expect, I’m not sure my 20 year old self would recognize me. Couldn’t be happier though. It’s going to be hard for awhile, but gets much easier around 12 months (for me it did at least)… please don’t stop posting content. I got into NBs because of you, get so excited every time you bring up a new pair. I think the 1000s should have been on your non-hyped list of 2024 - bought the same pair you were rocking earlier this year and love them.

I have loved sneakers since high school, and one of the fun things we did as a family would be go to cool places to get kicks like Nike town, or 125th St. in Harlem in 2004, or cool sneaker malls in South Central Los Angeles. I can buy more sneakers now Than I could when they were young, but it was still a lot of fun to include them in dad‘s quirky hobby for their lives growing up. When my only daughter who is the 28 year-old came home for Christmas from Brooklyn this year, one of the things she wanted to do was go sneaker shopping with dad Because she is really beat up the shoes. I got her a year ago walking around the streets of New York. My kids have learned a lot because what they were exposed to through my hobby of sneaker collecting. Also, I’ve gotten to give advice to several of the sneaker companies And included them in many business trips as they were growing up. In fact, my oldest son is now well known Supply Chain management professor just like me. A lot of of that has to do with me, taking the kids with me and including them in my life, including the sneaker stuff.Congratulations on the new one. It is the best part of life and sometimes the hardest.

First of all congrats! Becoming a dad has been amazing. I've got two now. With two kids, I've definitely set myself a monthly budget for sneakers. If I don't snag something new, that budget rolls over to the next month. Or I'll head to ebay for some steals from years past.
The other thing I want to note is that my style has changed. I find myself rocking more comfy sneakers like Saucony and New Balance over retro Jordans these days because of all the time I spend with my kids at playgrounds. Dad of a 16 month old boy here. Best decision of our lives to have a child. It made me grow up in ways I didn’t expect, I’m not sure my 20 year old self would recognize me. Couldn’t be happier though. It’s going to be hard for awhile, but gets much easier around 12 months (for me it did at least)… please don’t stop posting content. I got into NBs because of you, get so excited every time you bring up a new pair. I think the 1000s should have been on your non-hyped list of 2024 - bought the same pair you were rocking earlier this year and love them.

Cool vid! 38 yo dad here of an 8 and 6 year old. Cool Scheckler reference; I also grew up skating and still try to follow the scene. Now I cruise around while my kids ride bikes/scooters/skateboard.
