I'm not gonna lie, at $60 a card, having sticker autos like a box of MVP is pretty brutal.
Thank you for once again sparing your loyal viewers from pouring their hard-earned money into a disaster of a product. Aside from the shields, this is one of the biggest fails of the 2021-22 release calendar - and that's really saying something.

Nice video and confirms it for me that this product will be another pass. I’ve seen so many damaged cards and poor breaks, and now knowing the big names are sticker autos? I’d rather they insert redemptions instead of using sticker autos for those cards.

It all started with Kaprizov in the cup last year with those sticker autos. Now it’s commonplace. If you get it out there once and wait until everyone’s done freaking out you can keep doing it. I imagine more high end will have sticker autos as well.

I've heard people refer to filler cards as " COASTERS " but " NAPKINS " is a new one to rme. Those boxes were complete grabage. My condolences.
I think he is specifically talking about the plain jersey cards, no colour or thickness. just a coloured(or plain white)napkin.

I would bet it's more the players not sending the cards back in time, so they do sticker just to have the autos in pack and dont need redemption cards and deal with expired ones.

Jumped into a case break last night and had Dallas, scored a Joe Pavelski Displays patch auto /99 and a Damiani rookie accents auto also /99 I believe.

I can't wrap my head around the long term strategy for UD's business model. Seems everything they do is geared towards getting maximum revenue with minimum effort, regardless of the impact it has on their renown, brand or the hobby as a whole. It's almost as they only plan for getting enough profit in the next fiscal quarter, and zero efftort on like a five year plan.
What state will the hobby be in after the 23-24 line-up of products? Not great I'd guess.
Can anyone answer this question. I’m a big collector but I never understood what is so bad about sticker autos. I mean you’re still getting an autograph of a really nice player.
The player never touched the card. They didn't even see the card. Autographs are supposed to be a direct connection to the actual player. Sticker autos are of course a bit of a connection to the player but it's not the same. It's the same reason that Panini using "non associated" memorabilia in their cards is an absolute joke. Also, bandaid autos look terrible.
Cheap, Lazy, Ugly, no connection with the payer, Mass produced, easy to remove and replace and did I say lazy? 🤮🤮

All of the 21-22 product is really bad. I assume the 22-23 will be bad too, maybe a little better, who knows. Either way, I'm not buying any of it. But 23-24 with the Bedard price hike. It's going to be a blood bath. Probably $350+ for OPC platinum. Upper Deck is slowly ruining the hobby....again.
If no one buys prices go down.

Not a great break as the jersey cards to myself are no longer a big deal as in wanting. Surely not worth the money, sticker autos in this is just terrible. Better luck next time Zeeree.

Been watching the channel and others for a few years now and it’s sad how everyone refuses to vote with their wallets. It’s like an alcohol company filling their product with water… how much does it have to be watered down before people stop buying. Rarely ever seen meaningful pulls anymore that justify $300+ price tags, most boxes are just a handful of low tier prospects maybe 20-25% ROI. Yikes!

It makes me laugh how much people cry about sticker autos. Yes on card looks better but guess what? The players touches the sticker also.
Sticker autos aren’t worth as much. They don’t look as clean. Potentially could come off. I mean I would take sticker auto over no auto but for sure a downgraded product.
