Man $350 CAD for this is a real tough sell. I passed on Premier because of the price and may have to pass on Ultimate too
Totally agree, usually do a case every year but not at the price its going for, first time since 2004 not doing ultimate
Same. I've got pretty good budget but I HATE that Ripping product just feels like a total RIP off at this point. UD premier is my absolute favorite product with its Acetate cards but 600$ is a fucking insulting joke to the average hobbyist.
They know the boxes will sell anyways because breakers and richer re-sellers will always be there and people will keep buying in because they can't afford the product itself off the shelf. It's literally sad that kids with no money can only basically collect BS base cards

hey @zeeree quick question as a new guy to the show! what would be the best box to buy to start? without spending 500$ on a box of 4 card. right now i tried UD serie one hobby box and opc Platinum blaster at walmart.
GP Sports Cards pulled a nice double rookie box with Byram and with a kaprizov redemption in their box

in 13-14 ultimate retailed for 69.99 by the time 14-15 rolled around boxes were being clear out for $40 or less.

There’s an issue with hockey cards. You buy a box for $350 or so and you get $50 in return. This has to be the worst sport for flipping, or even trying to pull nice player pulls
You get $50 in return if you're fortunate, a lot of the time. Just no point in buying this or Premiere until the prices get reasonable. If that never happens, so be it...I'll just keep buying singles which is what I should be doing anyway.

That is nothing compared to other sports. If you wanna buy a decent product for either basketball or football you have to spend atleast 500 and 80% of the time you’ll walk away with 50 dollars worth of cards

@@joeygiesbrecht8163 Yes but the hits are far better as well. More quality players that command better market prices and a larger market overall and NHL hobbyists are often fucking cheap Canadians too that only trade or buy under comps. I live in Quebec and people are as cheap as it gets here
I pulled an auto out of the Alexis Lafreniere collection. Card number 28 auto 1/5 . I don't know of any that are for sale any clue on a value? I have sent it in to get graded

This is too bad. I know when you buy a box, you can’t expect to make your money back on everything, but at least, make it somewhat worth it with. I watched a case get open and yes, there are some nice cards, but not even close with what the price is. These products need to sell for half to make it worth it. Anyway, thanks always for the content and breaks. Lol

Does ANYONE do their job? At the U.S. Mint they white glove their proof coins. These clowns, not so much. It's like they wack the table with the card before they put it in the box. So frustrating.
These and premier are a total fail for the price. I doubt these 2 boxes even worth $100

I stopped a year ago. Prices are insane and now even with hits you don't make your money back unless it's McDavid or Matthew's. It's insane
Plus tax too! $791 here in Ontario for 8 pretty crappy cards. This product has such bad value it's horrendous, seems to be like a 30-40% chance at a patch too. It's ridiculous. Happy to let others break and then buy their singles for $20
I mean I'm sure zeeree gets some of these for free due to advertising it or at least makes his money back from TH-cam revenue then sells what he wants for more but let me tell you he would say this is resiculous value. Every box in this hobby isn't worth it even series 1

For zeeree he's in a unique situation as the top dog in the hobby, so mix in sponsorships and solid ad revenue for his views, and he can pay for the boxes off that alone and then some, plus sell the cards too. For the average person in the hobby, it's just not fun to walk into the store knowing there's a 90% chance you will lose a ton of money and not even recoup 30% back. I don't want to spend $350 to get a jersey card of shit rookie 1 and another basic auto of shit rookie 2 and then a $3 base card. $350 can get you some very nice card(s) on eBay instead. Ultimate was $185 CAD for 19-20 on release day when I bought it, much more reasonable and still I lost money on 2 boxes lol. This time around it's double for the same product. Who wants that like seriously? Who actually is excited to open this?
