Sydnie Christmas did a good job but Loren Allred is truly the next level. Loren delivered the song with beauty, poise, and stunning vocals. She is simply magnificent.
I definitely vote for Loren because of her vocal range. She also put so much emotions into her version. I think Sydney did a great Job by singing Lorens version of this song but she can't beat her.
I really see strengths in certain parts of each of their performances. So, I really can't choose between them, nor do I really wish, too. I can't wait though to see the collab project between these two beautiful powerful singers. I really love them both and I am amazed by their vocal aerobatics and pitch-perfect range that soars to the heavens. Can't wait for albums and singles and anything else that is finally put out. Been following Loren Allred's career and can't wait to follow Sydnie's career, as well.
A number of comparison videos have now appeared comparing Sydnie’s performance of Over the Rainbow with that of Loren Allred’s. In my opinion, although Sydnie’s performance (after a mere three days’ preparation, apparently) may not quite reach the technical excellence of Loren’s, the emotional intensity and impact of Sydnie’s is the greater. For me, Loren’s version made me sigh - but Sydnie’s made me cry - and that made all the difference.🥲
I love both. The arrangement is written for Loren. She worked on it much more than Sydnie. So in this song she's smoother, more polished and more elegant than Sydnie. And Loren is a wonderful, majestic singer. On the other hand, Sydnie has something that no other singer seems to have in such amount. She gives more emotions and chills than every other singer. She mesmerizes her public. She makes everybody feel. And eventually that's more powerful than elegance and perfection.
Sydnie didn’t want to do it until Loren gave her the go (Loren is her hero) and only had 3 days to learn it. Sydnie did a phenomenal job given the timing
Agree! No daut Sydnie will be a tremendos singer but compere whith Loren right now isn’t fear with Loren! Loren didn’t win the competition because she was all ready a superstar! And Syd didn’t have the background of experience that Loren did, so they eliminated Loren because wasn’t fear for the others! But Syd is so good that is a meter of time!!! She will be great !! She have the potential to be has Loren is!!! Sorry for my writing my first language is Spanish!!!
I love them both but Sydnie's voice from her first audition singing Tomorrow blew me away and actually brought tears to my eyes. I love her interviews and find her the type of woman I would love to spend years with. I can't recall any singer whom I have played over and over again more than Sydnie on TH-cam and Starlight express just made me love her more. I hear that song in my head all the time and that shows the impact she has on me and other people. All the best Sydnie in making your dreams come true and you have a 78 year old fan who is crazy about you in Canada ! .
Definitely Loren Allred. The delivery of the song was exceptional and she conveyed so many different nuances. Her vocal range was just phenomenal and she was able to better articulate the emotions appropriate to the song. Loren Allred is just a stunning talent.
No doubt, Loren and Sydney both have extraordinary voices and fully deserve their gold buzzers. However, upon looking at their performances from a more critical and analytical point of view, I can't but notice some crucial and decisive differences: For Sydney's interpretation I find some important objections. First, the impurity because of too noisy sighs (breath control technique?). Then, I can't overlook neither an odd off-sync of vocal to music in the beginning of her performance (why?). And also, though I find Sydney's voice slightly more resonant and powerful than Loren's, I think that unfortunately Sydney made here a typical mistake: trying to achieve a stronger voice and move stronger emotions, she slipped into exaggeration, beyond the borders of aesthetics, so the result sounds like affectation and spoils the overall impression ("more is less" principle). But of course, here we shouldn't forget that Sydney had only three days to prepare this performance, so for now she really deserves a big appreciation, and her definitive performance of Rainbow yet we have to see. Generally, Loren's voice sounds very talented and educated, showing her exceptional sense of aesthetics (not surprising, because of her parents' profession), and her performance seems to me much more natural and emotional. As somebody wrote, she's simply at some another level. Actually I don't know to whom should the credit go for fantastic arrangement, but this Loren's magic performance I find the most beautiful and so far absolutely unmatched version of this old evergreen. Very precise, stunning voice control, perfect timing and diction, dynamics and emotions in charming accordance with meaning of lyrics. A beautiful, clear voice color, wide vocal range with powerful high pitch and to me even more attractive voice in low pitch. And the last but not the least: her amazing and radiating scenic presentation. Therefore, her performance overall is one perfect music aesthetics in both technical and emotional sense, where I simply do not find absolutely nothing at all what might diminish this whole beauty and emotion, so I could hardly even imagine some better version.
Someday I wish upon a star that god takes all our pain and suffering from us… you’ll find me somewhere over the rainbow 🌈 and gods grace and hands are upon us all 🥰❤️🙏
I love both of these ladies. I prefer Loren’s performance just a tiny bit more if I had to choose. BGT asked her to sing it in the finals because she only had 3 days between the semifinals and the finals. She initially didn’t want to because Loren is her idol, but Loren gave her blessing and sent her a message giving encouragement.
They are both fabulous. I think Loren's version of this song is much better but overall, after watching them sing all the songs, I believe Sydnie has an edge IMHO in that her tone is somewhat richer than Loren's.
Dynamic, hopeful, sadness etc. are qualities that depends on the theme of the song. For example, you can't sing a sad song protraying happy emotions. Always keep that in mind
I thought that Loren was great……until I heard Sydnie. Loren is still great. Sydnie has surpassed her with her absolutely amazing voice, her down to earth personality, her wit and humor, most of all her humility and as Bruno said “her vocal pyrotechnics”. Everyone has their own opinion and each is valid. Sydnie could be my daughter, so could Loren. I’m almost 63, they are both younger than my youngest son. As friends…. Sydnie could be my next door neighbor who comes in all of the time , we know each other’s secrets and can be 100% totally ourselves. Lauren would be that friend I see occasionally, that doesn’t know any of my secrets, but we are friends. Make sense probably not, but that’s the only way I can explain it at 4:20am.
Lauren's version is sung beautifully, conveys sadness, weakness and vulnerability. Syndie's on the other hand is equally as beautiful, but is much more dynamic, powerful, hopeful, and optimistic. Both versions have their place and time, but give me Sydnie's version right now. We need more optimism, hope and empowerment in this world.
Seeing t from a purely vocal perspective, I think Loren simply outperforms sydnie. The limits of loren's belting prowess is far more than sydnie. Let's not forget loren presented the song from israel k's version but quite differently and in her own way and was quite different from izzy's rendition. Sydnie on the other hand, took loren's version directly with clever minor changes especially in those parts where she can't sing the way loren did, e.g the first belting where loren didn't pause a breath and the double vocal flip in " the.. dreams..." part at the end of that belting. Loren has more expertise, composure, emotions, modulation, etc but that's understandable bcos even though both started singing from a young age, both of loren's parents are music teachers and coached by them. Moreover, loren is a beautiful person and truthful, has grace and personality whereas sydnie seems a bit un authentic and a very good actor like the way she lied about her life on her first performance on bgt. The problem with such talent shows nowadays is that it's not only talent that makes the winner but the way they win the heart of the judges and the audience so you've to be a good actor too. Both sung well, but sydnie's performance doesn't quite reach that of loren's ( let me put once again in terms of talent). Anyway, thumbs up to both
I love Sydnie's version. Voice, emotions, eyes, hand gestures - everything is like a work of art! Meanwhile, while I love Never Enough, I feel like every song Loren sings sounds like Never Enough.
self taught vs classically trained voice... you cant tell the difference immediately. sydnie needs lessons from loren. Loren blows away even the so-called best female today who are nothing but garbage!
Sydnie Christmas did a good job but Loren Allred is truly the next level. Loren delivered the song with beauty, poise, and stunning vocals. She is simply magnificent.
Loren Allred's voice is wonderful and soft to my ears, I love it. For me she is better than Sydnie
Both are beautiful renditions!
Love Sydnie but still give the vote to Loren
For me loren is the best.

What a wonderful beautiful beautiful singer ❤❤❤❤
two forces of nature!
I get goosebumps when i listen to Sydnie!

Loren Allred is just an amazingly wonderful person.
There is no competition, but complementation.
@@dedosuwanda232that could be. Loren will be in London in early July. She did say she wanted to duet with Sydnie.
I would give much to see these powerhouses sing together!
both sdny and loren amasing singer .

The lighting/light show in Syndeys performance was amazing

My vote goes to Sydnie, the way she sing… it burst with emotion and it hit me hard!
