Bruce’s voice on this tour was beyond belief! His ability to hit high notes in this song, The Ties That Bind, among others and the falsetto at the end of the River is out of this world!!! At 75 on Monday he still amazes me!
They are still the greatest band playing. They are unique; there is nobody to rival them in their versatility and quality of playing. Love you Bruce, keep playing for us dedicated fans.❤❤❤❤❤❤

I saw my first ESB show during this run of shows at MSG when I was a wee high schooler. To call these shows life changing is an understatement. 30something shows later, that first show still ranks as one of the most important nights of my life.
Every superlative wouldn’t be enough to say how utterly brilliant the performance of this song was. Every instrument plays a significant role, every vocal is awesome and the variety of playing within the song fantastic. Absolute live brilliance!!!
Lyrics: Bobby's got a gun that he keeps beneath his pillow Out on the street your chances are zero Take a look around you (come on now) It ain't too complicated You're messin' with Murder Incorporated Now you check over your shoulder everywhere that you go Walkin' down the street there's eyes in every shadow You better take a look around you (come on now) That equipment you got's so outdated You can't compete with Murder Incorporated Everywhere you look now, Murder Incorporated So you keep a little secret down deep inside your dresser drawer For dealing with the heat you're feelin' out on the killin' floor No matter where you step you feel you're never out of danger So the comfort that you keep's a gold-plated-snub-nose-thirty-two I heard you You got a job downtown, man that leaves your head cold Everywhere you look life ain't got no soul That apartment you live in feels like it's just a place to hide When you're walkin' down the street you won't meet no one eye to eye The cops reported you as just an another homicide But I can tell that you were just frustrated From living with Murder Incorporated Everywhere you look now, Murder Incorporated Murder Incorporated
I don’t get TH-cam the new version. Love it though. But… I can remix this on my own?! What the hell does that mean? I feel really old. I’m like dying over here everybody. I love you. Rhetorical. I love you, E Street Band!!!!! And Bruce (whoever that guy is).
I like the fact that u can speak your mind here depending. However, if you can legally remix somebody’s stuff I really don’t like that. But it’s always been a thing… but… whatever. Not bad for a song that was judged as not being good enough to be put on an album. I can think of at least 8 songs from Born In The USA that this song is better than. It's insane to think that no matter how many records that BITUSA sold that so many of the best songs that were recorded during the sessions were left off the record. You want to tell me that "I'm Goin' Down" is a better song than this track, or that "I'm On Fire" is better than "My Love Will Not Let You Down" or that "Working on the Hwy" is a better tune that "This Hard Land." They should've put out a double record, even if it didn't sell as much.
How the living fuck this song wasn't included on "Born In the USA" is beyond my understanding. The album could have sold 110,000,000 copies, and "Murder Inc." would still be superior than half the songs on the album. If you have read Springsteen's book "Songs," he still feels, regardless of its sales, that "BITUSA," outside of 4 or so tracks, was just a "grab bag" collection of songs.
@@mikeberg5003 I know. I mean, "I'm Goin' Down" is probably my least favorite Springsteen song on an official Boss record, and yet when I listen to the "BITUSA" album, and that song comes on, I don't skip past it. It's not a bad song. It's just that there were many left off the record that were better than it. When the "Tracks" box set came out, he admitted that not including "My Love Will Not Let You Down" on "BITUSA" was a massive error. He opened most of the 1999/00 reunion shows with it: th-cam.com/video/exXiJa-kis4/w-d-xo.html

Lyrics:
Bobby's got a gun that he keeps beneath his pillow
Out on the street your chances are zero
Take a look around you (come on now)
It ain't too complicated
You're messin' with Murder Incorporated
Now you check over your shoulder everywhere that you go
Walkin' down the street there's eyes in every shadow
You better take a look around you (come on now)
That equipment you got's so outdated
You can't compete with Murder Incorporated
Everywhere you look now, Murder Incorporated
So you keep a little secret down deep inside your dresser drawer
For dealing with the heat you're feelin' out on the killin' floor
No matter where you step you feel you're never out of danger
So the comfort that you keep's a gold-plated-snub-nose-thirty-two
I heard you
You got a job downtown, man that leaves your head cold
Everywhere you look life ain't got no soul
That apartment you live in feels like it's just a place to hide
When you're walkin' down the street you won't meet no one eye to eye
The cops reported you as just an another homicide
But I can tell that you were just frustrated
From living with Murder Incorporated
Everywhere you look now, Murder Incorporated
